Sorry I looked up your model TV and it has a max display of 720p. So you would not be able to get 1080p.

Philips 42" Model no. 42pf9630a37 has a static sound, picture looks good. had the same prob that everyone else has had with capasitors going bad on power supply board. removed board and got parts replaced for $25. anyway right before that problem the sound was shutting off? or just a low humming noise. its still doing it. "what would be my problem know?

Hi,

I cant get my toshiba 40RV525U tv back to 1080p.

It'll only display a 1080p picture if you're sending it a 1080p signal. As far as I know, HD cable boxes only broadcast in 720p or 1080i. Currently, you'll need to be playing a Blu Ray disc on a BD player, preferably connected via HDMI to get 1080p.

Cant get lcd to show 1080p

It will not display 1080p if the video signal is not 1080p, the video signal dictates what the TV will display. Your vidoe source must be 1080p.

the reason you can't get a signal is the denon 1708 will not pass the 1080p, switch the DVD output res. to 1080i or 720p and it will work

Hdmi

Your tv, 32LA30Q Television can only support up to 1080i, not 1080p, that is why you cant run it at 1080p, as the hdmi inpute only allow, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i signals.
