Question about Sharp REGISTERCASH2CLRLCD2LN XEA506 PC Desktop

Open Question

My store is using the Sharp XE-A506 Register. We are having a problem getting the receipts to print out. I pushed for a "no sale" and that won't print either. I closed the register out and the X1Z1 printed out. I tried to do another sale and it still won't print out reciepts. Also the screen has an _ (underscore) on it that wasn't there before. Any Advice?

even if you can't know read the SD , you can use it as a backup to all your data
the sofware you need is clled ""customer support tool" from sharp
i'm still lookingin their site if ther're giving it for free

If you see "HEAD UP" or "PAPER EMPTY" on display, make sure the head lever on the side of the printer is locked in closed position and press CL (clear) button.
If the paper is feeding out blank, make sure you have the shiny side of the paper facing the front of the machine - if no shiny side to paper, you have wrong paper.
If that doesn't fix it, please let me know which side is having the trouble (receipt or journal) and whether the paper is feeding or if you have an error message.

Shap xe-a506 does an overlimit on all my payouts, how do i fix this?


It is a bit difficult to understand the actual operation you may be performing on the calculator. I am assuming you refer to change return amount after a transaction is finalised.

Please refer the user manual at this website.

The example on page 13 provides the steps to follow when customer pays more than the value of the transaction and is due for receiving some change.
Also refer to page 21 on ways of finalising a transaction.
It might be worth doing a daily sales report to check if the system is keeping track of all the cash received and the change provided. If this is correct then check the programming of the transaction finalisation key.

That means there is a password that was set for the Z operation , Enter the password and press AMt button

My sharp xe-a106 cash register is displaying an error message. it just reads "P" to the left of the "0.00" and I cannot clear it. Cannot do any other register functions. Turning...


Press the "clear" button (CL) the press the subtotal button (#/SUB). It will print out a long receipt. Make sure to run a Z after to clear all sales before.

How to print a copy of the receipt ?


Hi.
It doesn't look like this model can do it. Copy receipts are usually not available on low end models as the memory is insufficient. You can take a journal reading while you are in a sale though. If you press the receipt button before you press a payment button, it should print the current sale. It just won't show how they paid. You can still print a normal receipt after the sale. If you want to track every sale and see where staff are going wrong, just print the whole journal out at the end of each day (I think it is 700 . X TL)
