Need to know over all height on a 1990 sterling rv

most vehicles cant legally be over 13 1/2 feet 13ft 6in tall in the continental us anyway..without an oversize permit..get a 16 ft tape measure and a staight 2by4 8 ft long. place the 2by4 on top of the main airconditioner on the roof of the rv(rear is normally higher by an inch or 2..balance the 2by4 so it goes over both sides..measure from the top of the 2by 4 all the way to the ground..this will give you its total height..post this number on the dash in plain view of the operator for future reference..I say the top because that extra 2 inches is the margin of error for you..good luck..

Have A Duo-Therm air conditioner on top of my motorhome and it stoped cooling, the fan works fine. Is there a fuse in the box under the filter? It says there is on the out side. I am not sure where it...

Can you please reply with model number off bottom of upper (roof) unit. Should be able to see it when filter is removed from ceiling assy. Please include model of thermostat if possible. You say fan works, but when turned to cool, no compressor kicking in? Try shutting unit off, and turn off breaker at panel as well, give it a few minutes and retry and see if anything changes and let me know.

Dometic roof top rv airconditioner is not pulling any water out of the air based on condensate run-off. Is this a sign of low coolant? If so - are these types of air conditioners equiped to be re-charged...

The system is not equipped to be recharged. However there are several options to add a service port to the system. If you are staying cool there is probably no need to add refrigerant.

Installing rv roof airconditioner heat strip

I see what you see also in the manual. The difference is the Heat Strip package that part is optional and the 600212-001 with the optional heat strips becomes the new 600315-001 I talked to Dometic Duo-Therm and the models are the same but they both are not heat pumps but the new heat strip package comes on when told to go into heat mode when you change the thermostat to heat. The part you purchased will fit both model numbers you listed for your roof top air conditioner. Thanks, Sea Breeze

TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT DUCTED AIRCONDITIONER COLMAN. FOR 1995 TRAILER

The upper unit doesn't matter ( the actual ac unit on roof ) it's the lower control unit (inside at ceiling) that you need to change to use either ducted or non-ducted system. Any RV dealer can supply that, probably have it on the shelf. Just make sure you write down the model number and serial number, off the bottom of the upper unit, so they can match lower unit to it, for ducted system.

My roof top RV air conditioner is dripping water inside my RV

Check run-of on roof & see if it's been reduced lately, it may just be a plugged drain at base of unit on roof.
