Check for blue, snappy spark (gapped 0.020") at the spark plug. Check the fuel filter, air filter and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Make sure the fuel mix is correct and fresh. Make sure the primer bulb (if equipped) pulls in fuel after several pumps. Check the carburetor fasteners for tightness. Make sure the engine case is free of sawdust to prevent overheating. Check the chain oiling--it should throw off a thin line of oil onto some cardboard from the bar tip with the engine running fast for several moments. The engine should 4-stroke at speed while unloaded, but immediately 2-stroke when cutting. Adjust the H jet needle to achieve this. Set the L jet needle so that the engine 'follows the throttle' and idles fairly well. Hope some of this helps!

proabably thermostat if you changed thermostat and still have problem it could be defective ive heard of a dodge pickup having same problem loses power when heated up it was plugged catalatic converter.

Its a hot start issue.

Can be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.

Also it can be weak battery or starter.

Hi, my 96' Grand Cherokee start and run fine when it's cold. But, it start losing power when driving for a while. It won't die, but it won't go fast no matter how hard u step the padle

Your problem is probably the temperature sensor. It can be found on the intake manifold, below the thermostat housing.

Was running good for about 10 minute, started losing power for about 2 minute,then engine just die out. try for awhile to start its and finally started , just die out slowly and now its ,really hard to...

Bike starts and runs than when I drive it loses power at high speed and dies. Hard time starting back but when it does it runs ok. Has done this 2 or 3 times now.

when this happened to me it was because the fuel tank vent in the cap was take apart ur gas cap and free it up and lube it with some plastic and rubber safe oil

not your fuel or pump you probably have a loose ignition coil check them out if they are lose or are not in sincro they will back fire
