All I did was unplug the key board and it quit working. it was pluged in and I restarted the computer it still did not work.

Tip

Dell vostros 220 cd/dvd drive not working


my cd/dvd drive quit working device manager showed the triangle and ! mark, properties showed code 10. shut power off, took side case off, unpluged both cd/dvd's, from the board, restarted machine let it reboot, shut power off again,plugged both cd/dvd's back in, restarted machine, both were reinstalled and now working. hopes this is some help to somebody else. thanks jim.

I bought an emachine computer in January. 2 weeks ago the keyboard quit working. I tried another keyboard and that does not work either, what do I do.


to find the problem with key board & mother boarb Slot....? if u r key board usb port than conect another port restart the pc. key board not responding and the problem with key board. replace it

Unpluged VGA cable now no display.


This is why it is never a good idea to SCREW in those little crown nuts from your cable to your VGA port. All connections on any PC should remain firmly connected, but unscrewed to prevent damage due to pulling, twisting or removing. All it takes to damage that VGA port is a single push to the wall from the front of your PC. If your VGA pins aren't touching on the board, and if there are no shorts, you can fix your problem by adding a Video card. Otherwise, you will need to de-solder and remove your on-board port completely and try again with the VGA card.

Windshield wipers, power windows & heater motor quit when it is raining hard. turn off engine & restart. these will work for short time or rain quits.


had a rainy day. problem occured. went to dealer with engine running. they pluged in dianogstic computer. found bad relay. replaced. problem solved. thank you.

Dell C521 Will boot to User login But cannot use mouse or keyboar


If it is a USB then it should work with any keyboard and mouse. When you say it shuts off after XP loading screen, does the machine power off? have you tried unplugging the mouse and keybaord and let Windows load?

Try unplugging the keyboard and restarting the computer and then plug it back in.

My keyboard on my daughters computer wont work i try to type anything and nothing happens


just unplug the keyboard from the back of the cpu.the shut off the machine directly then again connect the key board and restart the machine if it still does not works that means the key board is faulty and it needs to be replaced.

My system shows long beep


with the computer off unplug the key board and then plug it back in. Restart the cpu and should work if not re- install software, if that dosn't work try a new keyboard

that sounds like a computer problem, not a monitor problem.  Plug the 'old' monitor in and see if your computer will boot with it.
