Question about Briggs & Stratton Garden
I pressume you have replaced both plugs?
can you remove the blower cover from the engine and pull the wires that connect to each of the coils ( these are the kill wire leads) make sure leads wont get caught in flywheel and try starting engine
if now starts could be shorted diodes in harness or earth wire making contact when it shouldnt
if it does not start possible coils have been damaged by d/c current from faulty igntion switch or incorrect wiring
if diodes shorted they will need replacing and have the ignition switch checked
