Question about Apple MacBook 13"White /2.0Ghz Intel Core2 Duo White/2GB (2x1gb)/80GB/SuperDrive (Z0DT) Mac Notebook

1 Answer

My macbook Intel Duo Core 2.0GHz will occasionally "freeze" for a moment (or 5), then "release" and function normally. I reloaded the OSX (I have Tiger, 10.4.11) fresh, but the problem persists - could it be a hardware problem and not s/ware or OS?

This is normal, if it just pauses for a moment. If this is really frustrating to you, you might want to max out the RAM (ie memory) which I think is 4gb. Crucial is a good place to get memory from. They have a handy drop down menu system that will make sure you get the right memory for you computer.

It sounds like you need a boot disk.

You can try to boot holding Command + R and go into recovery mode. If it's too old, you'll need to download the recovery tool from apple's website.

Any Logitech wheel should be detected by OSX Leopard or Snow Leopard - no drivers needed - in OSX, it's more the game that supports the controller than the OS itself that does.
