Try hitting F2 when computer starts. You will get into bios. There will be somethig like "VGA palette snooping". You must enable that.

theres nothing about VGA Snooping, im on vista i dont know if its different. i have located where to change priority for different ports but im beginning to think that my ports arent correct. I have one black one that says pci ex and 2 regular pci ports, however my card will only fit in the pci ex port as the other 2 are the other way round!

how old is your monitor? can you try to conect another monitor your pc has integrated videocard? does it turn on and beeps?, you should check the back pannel of your pc and try to conect it to onboard video first (if it has), if you get signal get into the bios and change video output from onboard to a external card. if this thing dont work, then vga cord may be damaged or the card is not installed right or not working.

No input signal

Hello there, I am the computer technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.

Welcome to Fixya!

Since you had it repaired and transported it home this fault may be due to a loose connection. Or like you say it could be a simple task of placing the graphics cable in the correct graphics output port.

Install the monitor graphics cable into a horizontal graphics output port if possible. Doing this would therefore connect to the Graphics card if one is installed.

Plugging the monitor graphics cable into the vertical graphics output port would mean that you are connecting your monitor to your computer's onboard graphics output. Which will not work if there is a graphics card installed, in which case one must use the horizonal port, found on the graphics card.

If you have checked that the monitor cable is correctly plugged in and your problem continues then one checks the following:
NB: Turn off your Computer before doing the following:
Make sure the graphics card is secure in it's slot, push down on it lightly when the PC is off.
Check that the power connector to the graphics card is inserted: if applicable.
Ensure that the power supply connectors going to the mainboard are seated.

Check the Memory modules, one may need to be seated or cleaned. Clean the gold fingered connectors with tissue paper.

You may also find it of benifit to look at on eof my published works, entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

Take care!

Hi granttoolmad
Shut down computer and disconnect power plug . Extract new graphics . Reconnect and reboot computer , you should get video back . Install the driver with the cdrom you purchased with the card . Shut down . Install new card . and boot your machine . Wait for Windows to recognize the card . Shut down . Connect your monitor to new card . Reboot .
Best regards ,

I have a HP s3020n slimline the pc is running but not sending any signal to the monitor

Well... try un-plugging the VGA cable... ie., the monitor cable behind the tower...... if u get a message on screen saying No VGA Input... can confirm there is no issues with the monitor...

if you are using graphic card in computer unplug that and connect the VGA cable to normal display card came along with the computer and try...

or if you have another monitor... u can try connecting that to the tower which is not sending the signal to monitor and try....

even then you get the same problem... get an new graphic card... (if you dont have other monitor try with new graphic card)

Can't see screen to install diver for HP Compaq WF 1907

My friend just purchase this monitor yesterday. When she plugged it in to the back of the tower she received the same prompt u have mentioned. I was able to repair it because she simply did not realize that I had installed a new graphics card into her pc a few months ago. When u do this, you have to hook your monitor into the area where the new graphics card was installed. You can not plug your monitor into the same onboard card that u have previously plugged your monitor into.
Let me know, if by chance, u did install a new graphics card.
Hope this was helpful :)

Diablotek radeon 9200 problems.....please help

OK, turn-off the computer, remove and replace the BIOS battery, then start it up with the VGA cable in the onboard graphics port.
Press the corresponding key to go into BIOS setup (Del?) and go to the Integrated Devices menu.
Change the option from onboard to PCI in the Video options.
Exit and save settings. As the computer restarts (you'll have to be quick) swap the VGA cable back to the Radeon's port.
