My Whirlpool duet displays F32 code. What dose this mean?

F32 code is usually an indication that your washer is taking too long to drain. Remove the bottom panel and turn the sump trap counter clockwise to remove a sump cleanout. Have some towels ready. Your sump trap is probably filled with lint, coins, buttons, etc. Fyi: wear a closepin on nose for smell!

Not draining and a buzzing sound.

Check the pump. Sometimes the plastic impeller gets stalled out from debris, or the impeller breaks off from the armature. You might have a clogged pump inlet hose, remove it and clean out all of the lint, coins, pins, etc..

My whirlpool duet washer will not spin all of the water out after the spin sycle. There is a flashing F2 on the screen.

F/02 = Long Drain

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed. Most likely cause is item 1.
  1. Check Screen Filter Assembly for foreign material lint, socks, coins, nails ect. To access the filter remove the lower front panel. The filter (white is located before the pump. Place a pan under the filter and remove it and clean then reassemble.
  2. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  4. If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

I have Whirlpool Duet Dryer that has a noise.

It is common for small items (such as coins) to get stuck inside the dryer drum baffles. You can easily remove them without disassembling the entire dryer. The screws that hold them in place are located on the outside of the dryer drum. In order to access, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Remove the top panel of the dryer by removing the three screws located in the back of the dryer holding the panel in place. Once the screws are removed, the top panel slides back, then lifts off.

Each drum baffle has two screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and the baffle will drop into the drum allowing you to easily check inside each one.

Another source of dryer noise is something caught in the blower fan housing. You will need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door to access. Follow these steps:

1. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen (the blower fan cover will not come off with the lint screen in place).
2. Locate the screws that hold the toe panel in place along the bottom front edge of the panel. HINT: Propping the front feet of the dryer up can give you better access to reach the screws (a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed the toe panel will drop down, then come off.
3. Remove the screws that hold the blower fan cover in place.

Inspect the blower fan housing for any objects that may be vibrating against the fan blades.

If you still need further assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this helpful.

The wash machine stops and the screen blinks F-21 and the wash machine does not drain. I did check to see if the drain was clogged and it is not Help

The drain pump's filter most likely was clogged. You will need to open the front lower panel. It has 3 screws at the bottom near front edge. Once opened, you will see a white plastic cylinder with cover. Open it by turning counter clockwise and pull it. All the solid object that causes to clog the drain filter pump are there, coins, lint, etc...

My Whirlpool duet washer is not draining. I am

If you hear the pump running and not draining, then take the toe panel off. Should be 3 1/4" screws on bottom. Remove the "coin catch". It looks like a BIG screw and it's white. Turn counterclockwise. There may be a sock, change ect...clogging it up. Dump it out and run machine. Have towel or bucket ready when removing coin catch.

Coin in dryer

The coin is probably rattling against the blower fan. First, unplug the dryer or turn off the main breaker. There are live voltages present inside a dryer even with the power shut off. Then, follow these steps: 1. Take out the lint screen. 2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door. There are a couple of screws under the front. The panel should pull straight down then come off. 3. Remove the blower fan housing. There will be 2 to 3 screws holding it in place. NOTE: If you did not take out your lint screen in STEP 1 you will know why I told you to take it out. The blower fan housing won't come off with the lint screen in place. Once you have the panel off you will be able to access the blower fan, and anything else that as gotten trapped inside the housing. This would be a good time to clean as well. Reassembly in the reverse order of what I just explained to you. Good luck and I hope this helps you.
