Question about SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro SDCZ62048A10 Hard Drive

I plugged my SanDisk into my computer. I left it in there for hours while the computer was in sleep mode and when I tried to access the USB, the light didn't turn on and the computer didn't pick it up. It was super hot and now it wont't work. PS: My mom was able to eject it (Thank God) but it still won't work! Please help me!!! I am a writer and all my stories are on there. And this isn't the first time this has happened. So please help!

    The software had no effect.... *sob* I said that there was no USB drive plugged in, but the was.... I don't know what to do now.... Any more advice?

I have a Sandisk USB drive. I have saved alot of files to my flash drive. I left it in m y computer for some days and now it will not show any of my files. Please help

I always tell people make a hard copy of things you really want to keep because electronics do go bad. Burn what you want to keep to a disc. then you will always have it. there are usb recovery programs out there. try this I hope it helps.

    Sometimes, just sometimes plugging it into another computer will allow you to access it. Otherwise I don't know. Sorry.

Can't get my iPad to turn on! Have tried pressing the button for a long time, still not turning. What else should I do to get started?


In order (stop if one works):
1. Recharge at least an hour from power adaptor rather than USB computer lead.
2. Reset by holding down Sleep/Wake button on top right of tablet while at the same time pressing down home button. Keep both depressed 15 seconds. If slider appears or screen dims, keep pressing till Apple appears.
3. Restart (display not working) by pressing and holding Sleep/Wake button till power off slider appears. Drag slider to right. Wait 2 minutes. Press and hold Sleep/wake button till Apple appears.
4. Recovery Mode. With device powered down, hold sleep/wake button down and drag slider to off position. Then plug USB into a computer (do not have usb cable connected to iPad yet) running latest version of iTunes. Hold down Home button while plugging USB cable into iPad. Keep Home button down until Connect to iTunes appears. If does not appear, start Recovery Mode procedure again. When Lightning cable, arrow, and iTunes appears, release Home. Click OK to restore to factory defaults (erases data). Restore data from earlier backup. (Summary of method from Phone Cruncher site.)

Computer won't come out of sleep


Sleep Mode Problems on a Dell Computer b> When Microsoft patched the power-saving features of Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows Vista, certain Dell computers were affected by various issues where the computers would go into sleep mode and be unable to come out of it or error out and not go into sleep mode. Sometimes the computers would go into sleep mode and wake up only when a USB mouse was jostled. Pressing keys on the keyboard would not wake the computer because the keyboard would stop functioning

Open the Dell support page on your Internet browser. See the link Below . http://support.dell.com/ Make sure to have your seven-digit alphanumeric (letters and numbers) service tag. Place that information into the "Choose by Service Tag" option. Make sure that the option for the "Operating System" is correct. Go to "+Bios" and click on the "+" symbol. Click on "Download" at the far right, save and run the downloaded file. Restart your computer after installing the file. Test the "Power-saving" feature once you have rebooted. b> If Section I Does Not Resolve the Issue Go to "Display Properties" by right-clicking in an open area on your desktop and left-clicking on "Properties." Click on the "Settings" tab. Check if the "Display" midway down is saying "Plug and Play Monitor on..." If it is not, go to the "Device Manager." Left-click on the "X" in the top right corner of the "Display Properties" menu. Go to "Start," left-click, and then open the "Control Panel" (or "Settings" and then "Control Panel" depending on your system is set up). Select "System," go to the "Hardware" tab, and left-click on it. Left-click on "Device Manager" about 1/3 of the way down that page. Look at "Monitors" and see a "+" symbol. Left-click on it once and see if it has an exclamation point,"!," with a yellow circle around it. If it does, right-click on the "Plug and Play Monitor" and left-click on "Update Driver." Test the "Sleep" mode again. If the computer does go to sleep, enable the "Windows" sidebar by going into the "Control Panel" and enabling it again. Start turning off each gadget one by one, and test the "Sleep" mode to see which gadget is causing the problem. Look at the system and see if you have a "Google" sidebar." If you do have Google sidebar, then pick only one to use, or choose not to use either of them. To remove the "Google" sidebar, left-click on "Start," then left-click on "Control Panel." Double-click on "Programs and Features." Wait for the computer to populate installed software on your computer. Find the "Google" sidebar and remove it by left clicking on it and left click "Uninstall." If you want to remove the "Windows" sidebar, right-click on it, left-click on properties to open "Properties," then remove the check from the "Start Sidebar When Windows Starts," selection and click "OK." Disable Sleep Mode Microsoft Windows 7 uses sleep mode for desktops and laptops to save power during times when the computer is not in use but does not need to be shut down. Sleep mode pauses and suspends your computer until you are ready to continue. In some cases, sleep mode interferes with scheduled tasks or operations such as remote desktop connections. Microsoft allows sleep mode to be turned off and disabled for users that have no need for the function or find that the feature is interfering with their normal computing activities.

Click the "Start" button to expand the Windows "Start" menu. Select "Control" panel in the right column of the "Start" menu and click "System and Security." Click "Power Options" and press the "Change Plan Settings" link next to your computer's currently selected power management plan. Select "Never" from the "Put The Computer to Sleep" drop-down menu. Select "Change Advanced Power Settings" beneath the "Change Settings For The Plan" heading. This launches a "Power Options" panel. Double-click "Sleep" in the menu tree to expand the advanced "Sleep" options. Select "Sleep After" and use the arrow to select "Never." Select this option for both "On Battery" and "Plugged In" if you are configuring power options on a laptop. Click the small "plus" icon next to "Hibernate After" to view hibernation settings. Click the arrow to select "Never." Select "Never" for both "On Battery" and "Plugged In" if you are configuring your power options for a laptop. Click "OK" to close the advanced power options. Select "Save Changes" to save your new power management configuration. Your computer's sleep mode is disabled.

The battery is not charging


You can try and reset the player. resetting a Clip player: 1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
Some things to check for when your player does not act like its taking a charge.
USB Cable Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable that came with your player.
Computer in Hibernation mode Make sure the computer isn't entering hibernation or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be ON in order to charge your player.
USB Port 2.0 Make sure the player is connected to a USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).
USB Port location Try plugging into different USB ports (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); occasionally the front USB ports have limited power to charge up the device.
Battery Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
Latest firmware Depending on what Sansa player you have, make sure it's up to date with the latest firmware.
AC charger (optional) AC chargers (sold separately) have a 500-1000 milliamp max output, which provides much better charging ability than a USB port.

My fuse wont charge at all. i bought a new charger and still get no charge


Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable that came with your player.

Computer in Hibernation mode
Make sure the computer isn't entering hibernation or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be ON in order to charge your player.

USB Port 2.0
Make sure the player is connected to a USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).

USB Port location
Try plugging into different USB ports (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); occasionally the front USB ports have limited power to charge up the device.

Battery
Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.


Latest firmware
Depending on what Sansa player you have, make sure it's up to date with the latest Firmware.

AC charger (optional)
AC chargers (sold separately) have a 500-1000 milliamp max output, which provides much better charging ability than a USB port. These accessories are available at SanDisk web site.

Computer in Hibernation mode Make sure the computer isn't entering hibernation or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be ON in order to charge your player. Check you screensaver and power settings.
USB Port 2.0 Make sure the player is connected to a USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).
Battery Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Next try and reset the player. Resetting the player: 1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
Once it is back working, go to the SanDisk support site and get the updater program and update your firmware.

Below are some things to check for when your Sansa player does not charge..
USB Cable Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable that came with your player. Also try ports on the back of your computer, these ports have more available power. Some computers have limited power to charge up the device...

Trying to add 4 GB microSDHC card to sandisk sansa e260. connect e260 to computer via USB. insert micro card. computer does not recognize microcard. why?

The player automatically connects to the computer in Media Transfer Protocol mode (MTP mode).
For accessing the microSD card in the player, the USB connection in the player has to be set to MSC mode, see:

1. From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
2. Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC.

you maybe entered to settings and went to usb mode and turned it to mcs and left it like that and you have to turn it back the other mode and i think you can open it after disconnecting it to the computer....

My sanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player will not charge anymore. At least not on the computer I'm on. I have had it hooked up to charge for 2 days now and nothing. Why is this and how can I charge it?

When i connect my sansa clip 2gb it will not charge. it say connected and then goes off. I thought it was charging but when i checked it the battery had died what do you suggest i do to get it working...
