I have a solid green 'on' light with an error message reading "Printer error - see your documentation and call service if necessary".

Initially when this error message forst appeared I had an on screen 'low color ink' warning. That doesn't appear any longer, just the printer error message. I wondered if I changed the color cartridge it may reset the error? I cannot get the cx3200 to go into ink change mode so would have to dismantle the top of the machine to access the printer cartridges.

Any hel or advice would be appreciated. Bill from London UK.

I've a Epson Stylus CX3650 which suddenly started saying that it didn't recognise my ink cartridges (despite them being the same ones I usually use) and now has a big "E" on the display which apparently indicates that some parts are at the end of their life ... my printer is less than two years old and I cannot even get the printheads to move now, let alone print anything. Any way I can get round this, or will it have to go to printer heaven??

The feed mechanism in my Espon 3800 quit working. Is it affordable to fix or should I dump it?

In Case, if the Feed Mechanism Quit Working, it is better to have New Printer as the Cost of Repair would be high relevant to the Cost of New Printer.

I wish i could have a Better Answer.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Override error message re Epson CX3700 printer carridge

This is a common error message whenever you use a third party ink on an EPSON printer, one recommendation is that you can call epson for support to get a new one and ask if you can get a printer that uses the same ink for your cx3700- problem is on the hardware itself already. printer needs replacement.

Epson stylus photo r300 Error sevice required parts are at end of sevive period how do you fix it?

Reset your printer. Its counter should be reset to zero. Use third party software utility.

Just key in in your search bar " Epson reset software" the uppermost link will be the one. Just read the tutorial before doing this.

Epson cx5400 all in one printer error

This resolution, the only working one I could find for the generic "Printer Error" message, was posted by FixYa user willyinfcva:

"I downloaded the Epson CX5400 manual from, and the remedies for the printer error light were plain and fell into 5 categories; print or carriage motor ohms out of spec (not likely), a latch holding the paper eject mechanism not locked down, or one of the sensors for head or paper position not functioning properly. Confident with this new information, I aerodusted both sensors, cleaned a smudge off the CR alignment strip behind the head carriage, and also reseated the head for good luck, as I'd had it out before. I ran a test and ... it worked!"
