You can TRY program called Recuva. You'll find it in filehippo.com. This program can recover erased pictures etc. from a memory card with some limitations.

First thing is to not attempt to take any new pictures on that card. Visit: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec and read carefully to follow the instructions. This is free memory card recovery software.

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in memory card erased permanently.

Those lost pics are still stored on the memory card, it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those photos are not overwritten by new pictures, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try Asoftech Photo Recovery program, which can recover pictures after deeply scanning the memory card to look for lost pics you accidentally deleted or formatted.

Card Error

Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for.

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're very inexpensive.

The reason this occurred is that you likely never formatted the card. The card will work fine in the beginning but eventually will corrupt. AFTER you've recovered the photos, format the card in your camera to prevent this from happening again (dig out that instruction manual to figure out how). Keep in mind formatting will also totally erase your card, so again only do this after you've recovered the photos.

LOST ALL MY PICTURES

Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos (or else you may start overwriting some of them), take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for:

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/recovering-those-accidentally-lost.html

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're cheap:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st?keywords=card+reader&rs=172282&page=1&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Acard+reader&sort=price

AFTER you've recovered the photos, consider formatting the card IN THE CAMERA to rejuvenate the card, and prevent this from occurring again in the future. But again only format afterwards as this will totally erase the card.

Pics exist but may be damaged

First of all, recover lost files from memory card
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect memory card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download best photo recovery software from here
this asoftech photo recovery program help me before, works quite well and it's easy to use
4. Install and open asoftech photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your photos.

After you get back your photos, you can format the memory card to fix the problem.

Serious problems due to memory card

It's no problem at all to get them back. Please see this post for several free software that you can download. You'll need to use a card reader with these programs though:

And yes, format the card in your camera after you've recovered the pics.

you can take the memory card out from camera and then use camera recovery software, recommended asoftech data recovery software as it helped me before.

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.
