There is no problem to use it if the load to be transferred is under 7500 W.

Even a load of 8000 W may be handled for a short time, but if the protection of the switch is adjusted at 7500 W (the respective current), it may drop after some time.

Thank you "parlapanov" for your response to my 7500 watt transfer switch question. I could not get even a partial answer from anyone in the department selling the switches and generators. Your reply sounds right on, and backs up logical assumptions for this application. I'm not sure if I am giving you this 5 star rating on the right agenda but I could not get the " click to rate" notation to respond. Again, thank you very much 361richardh.

How to connect a Westinghouse WH7500E Portable Generator, 7500 Running Watts/9000 Starting Watts with my house elec panel

This is a complicated problem. There are several ways of doing it, but the most important thing is to make sure that the unit is properly grounded, and that there is no possibility of back feeding the power lines. You must have a positive disconnect between your panel and the generator. This can be through an approved isolation switch or and approved transfer switch.
You also want to make sure you do not overload the generator

Why won't my stanley 8000 generator put out power?

You have to be missing a switch to turn on the power outlets once it is running. That or a breaker needs to be turned on.

GE Generator 10kw model #040448. TRANSFER SWITCH FAULT message being displayed. Generator works fine. Generator output load voltage = 233V.

This generator has a built in transfer switch. If you do not have an external source of 240 volts going in to the unit (utility power), the transfer switch will show a fault or "abnormal" reading. If you do have utility power going in to the transfer switch, and the generator is on then you have a faulty transfer switch. It is time to warranty or get a replacement switch.
