Hi prah

you can get one from here. But you will need to create a connection to the battery that suits existing sockets. Can you transfer the connecting lead from the old battery the new battery? The battery I have linked you to is a sealed lead acid battery I am sure is the type you need. They have spade connectors on them, that you can also solder to if you wanted to transfer the existing connector to.

How did you get on with sourcing your battery. Would be great if you could close this ticket off with a FixYa... still hanging around in my to do list. Cheers

There are many many possible batteries you can use for this application, from lead acid to Lithium polymer. You will need to determine what type of power connector that will fit your unit's jack then make sure the polarity is correct. You can then wire connector
accordingly to battery you select. Make sure battery exceeds current requirements but voltage. If unit has internal charger, make sure the battery you choose is compatible or use dedicated charger

I've bought a pyramid crystal 1000 watt 2 channel amplifier used it states it runs at 4 ohms can I run it at 2 or 1 ohms and if so what will the wattage be?

Not to disappoint you too much, but the 1000 watts advertised is just marketing hype. If your amp is the PB781X, it should have only a single 15A fuse on it. Your battery provides 12.5 volts when the engine is off, so at most, your amp draws 187.5 watts of power. Draws, not outputs. No amp is 100% efficient due to heat. When your engine is running, assuming your alternator outputs 14.4 volts, your amp's maximum power draw is about 216 watts. Again, this is what your amp draws, not what it puts out. What you should focus on is the RMS (continuous) output, not Max or PMPO. Those numbers are useless, unfortunately.
Your amp is rated to output 50 watts per channel at 4 Ohms, and 75 watts per channel at 2 ohms. This is when wiring your channels separately, not bridged. I did not see true power specs for your amp while bridged, but it's possible you'll just get the full 150 watts to the single bridged output. Do not attempt to apply a 1 ohm load to your amplifier, as you will run the risk of damaging it. It's not designed to handle a 1 ohm load. If you're lucky, you'll blow a fuse before the amp is damaged, but either way, there is nothing to be gained by attempting it.

Okay, I'm working on a scooter for my nephew that originally came with (2) 12 volt 12Ah batteries minus the charger. and I know I need to replace them with (2) batteries of the same 12 volts and lets

not exact, to charge apropiate needs 10% more than nominal voltage. if not, will not charge the batteries.
And the charger its very important because you can over charge the battery. An example,if you have a 12 Amps Batteries each one if you put it in series will be 24 Volts.at parallel conection will be 12 volts but the double of Amps.
At serial connection will be 12 Volts the amps will be the same but the volts will be 24.

The charger at 12 Volts must be 13.8-14.5 DC Volts and divide the Amps in Hours.
The charger at 24 Volts must be 26-28 Volts. to charge well.

The charger for 12 amps batt example must charge 2 amps per hour at 6 hours = 12 Amps.(2 Amps Charger by 6 Hours Charging= 12 Amps.(Fully Charged.
3 Amperes Charger needs 4 Hours to charge 12 amps Batt.
5 Amperes Charger needs 2 Hours charging an a quarter
All of this is at DC Current.

Luck.

Bike won't rev out

Could be electrical.Bikes that have generator systems need battery induced.Unlike an alternator system, like a car you can jump start and the alternator will run with good spark to fire fuel.Generator type need battery induced,so battery must have correct amperage. Can test battery with a volt or/amp test.See what you have with bike not running, then running need about 20% more volts then the 6 or 12 volt battery states (about 14 volts running on a 12 volt battery.Know your battery life span & know that a new battery that year.Plus generator must keep battery charged.I like to have a good spare and also go for a glass mat battery especially if bike is ridden season related. Good Luck!

Starts with a jump but cuts off soon as cables are disconnected

Check your batteries voltage you need at least 12 volts. If you don't have 12 volts then put the battery on a 2-4 amp charge for 6-8 hours. Then if the battery does'nt have 12 volts get a new battery. If your battery has 12 volts afterwards and still cuts off then your alternator is faulty. With the engine running your alternators power wire should show 13-15 volts coming out.
