Can not log on to windows XP after installing the driver display shutsdown while entering to windows.

If its a Desktop computer, Switch it off, disconnect the power cable, open it up and remove the Graphics card from its slot. If you have a network cable, remove it too and try to boot the computer.
If that fails, then try to boot your computer while pressing F8 which will lead you into safe mode. Try and see if the computer can boot in safe mode. When you boot in safe mode, go to start, then open Control panel and go to "Add and Remove Programs" tab. Uninstall the driver that you recently installed. If you can not see them in Control panel, then click on start, right-click on "My computer" and go to its properties. Then go to device manager, and look for any yellow question mark or exclamation mark. This will normally be visible on the device that failed installation. Then right click on it and select uninstall, this will remove your corrupt drivers. Restart the computer and try to boot is normally

Windows Home XP system shutsdown abruptly.. just before that there was a message " device lost" what is the reason for the it and how resolve the issue?

I would first try to boot into safe mode, by pressing the F8 key while booting. A menu will come up, select "safe mode" after booting into windows from the control panel use the device manager to see if there is an exclamation mark next to a device. If so you can temporarily "disable" this device then try booting normally into XP.

Dell Dimension 4600 will not reboot. I have to turn it off, unplug the power, push the On/off switch for a moment, let it set for 15 min then it will reboot. I have recently upgraded from 256kb ram to 1gb,...

from what you describe, they system will not shutdown. So try the following:
  1. Boot to safe mode (F8 at boot) and then see if the system will reboot from the safe mode.
  2. Boot to the Safe Mode again, Start RUN MSCONFIG, edit the startup group, (Basically uncheck all the items in the startup tab) reboot in the normal mode then see if it shutsdown. If it shutsdown normally, then start adding items back one at a time until you identify the items that were causing the items.

My HP Pavilion 753n starts to be and then

It is the power supply
In hp the power supply they use does not die on you completely; it will start but not feed the computer.
So change it to generic brand and every thing will work fine.

PC TROUBLESHOOTING

Your computer may be Virus'd
Try tapping the F10 key as the PC is booting up,,and choose safe start.
If you can get that far, you can use system restore to restore to some previous date.
Then Scan for Virus and Malwear.

My computer is restarting over and over....It's stating that a program has unexpectedly shutdown and that windows needs to restart. It's a HP laptop

If it gets into windows and then shutsdown after a very short time. Then start it again and click on the start menu A.S.A.P. click on the run command and enter:
shutdown -a
Then O.K.

If it no longer shuts down after typeing in that command then you have a virus and need toi run anti-virus software to clean it out. If this is the case then you also have the virus in some of your restore points and they need to be cleaned out as well.

Good luck. Be more specific about at what point it starts to restart.
