Question about Hobart Airforce 250ci Plasma Cutter 12 Amps

Hi I have a hobart airforce 250ci 2 and a half year old lightly used plasma and the power doesn't come on

Check your ground and make sure the ground is clean, if not sand it slightly where it's shinny then try tighten the ground clamp and tighten the ground clamp on the machine itself. Be sure the breaker is not tripped for the machine in the main electrical panel as well check that the electrical cord has not worn down from use, you may have to replace the electrical connector if it is badly worn. you can buy at any hardware store, you will want to buy a 15 amp male connector. If this does not sole your problem please let me now for more help. also be sure air is working for the machine.

Sounds like the voltage is not going to the tip. I would suggest taking this in for repair.

Was cutting with it and it just kicked off like a breaker tripped, no power at all.


check the cable going into it,then the nozle i think the unit has a breaker type switch ? push it all the way down then back up again

Hobart airforce 250 ci has power but will not operate


make sure that there is air to the plasma and set at the proper psi. Make sure that the contact tip and nozzle is in the cutting head correct.

Hobart 250 has power to unit, but will not run.none of the lights come on.


Sounds like you have more than one problem. Check all fuses. Bringing it to a welder repair shop might be a good idea. Welding suppy houses may be able to help you in your area, and maybe recommend someone.
