Question about ATI RADEON X300 SE Graphic Card

Open Question

I'm looking for a new graphics card for my old HP Pavilion t3000.de desktop pc. It currently has the HP ATI Radeon X300 graphics card but I need to buy a new graphics card that can support Pixel Shader 3.0 or better since the current one only supports up to 2.0. Apparently, the motherboard can only support up to 128mb video memory cards so can you help me to find a graphics card that is suitable for my computer and can get shader 3.0 . Thanks.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: pixel shader

A pixel shader computes color and other attributes of each pixel. Pixel shaders range from always outputting the same color, to applying a lighting value, to doing bump mapping, shadows, specular highlights, translucency and other phenomena. A pixel shader alone cannot produce very complex effects, because it operates only on a single pixel, without knowledge of a scene's geometry or of neighboring pixels. A pixel shader is a computation kernel function. Pixel shaders can alter the depth of the pixel (for Z-buffering), or output more than one color if multiple render targets are active

If you are having problems with your video card

the drivers might not be installed correctly you might have to uninstall the graphics card restart your computer then reinstall the graphics card and its drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers or

you might need to download one

Since you want to upgrade your video card to a much powerful one, you can check this out ATI Radeon HD 4670 HD4670 512MB DVI PCIe Video Card.

Doing the upgrade a power supply upgrade is also advisable since new video card like now requires a high power supply, upgrade the power supply to at least 500W and for a additional fan is already recommended to avoid any overheating problem.

Hello,

I would recommend Nvidia graphics card.
It is one of the best, and compatible with your computer.
I would recommend one of the most recent models.
Check with your local computer shops and they will assist you in getting a good recent model.

Thank you for using Fixya,
Kenneth.

Existing Graphics Card Radeon X300, which one to

I have looked it up on the internet, the graphics card is capable of displaying your monitors resolution. I am therefore assuming you want a new graphics card for 3d applications, since 2d is easily rendered by this card.
However, simply replacing the graphics card will not help. You will probably have a hard time finding a card that can fit on your mainboard, and even if you do, your prcessor will not be fast enough to send the required data to the graphics card.
In this case you will have to buy a new PC, I'm sorry. If I did not understand what you meant, please post a comment.

Regards,
Yannick.

How do I clone my PC to TV

you should be able to right click the desktop and hit properties then go to settings and then click the advanced button at the bottom.  there will be a window that pops up with a bunch of tabs one of the tabs should have settings todo exactly what you want.  mine is  ageforce card and the tap says gforce right on it.  But if nt just look through the tabs and read. one of them should have options for your display.  Most of them even have pictures of tvs so it is easy to figure out.

Hope this helps.
