Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD640 Front Load Washer/Dryer
F 13 appeared on digital screen now dryer wont dry
It's not that bad to change but you need a set of torx bits, photograph the loom before you take it off the duct & it's easier to remove the whole duct & then take it to pieces. Check the fan bearing whilst you've got it apart, if it gets stiff the fan stalls & then the safety cutout does it's job, new bearings are 2 quid, new motors are 50.

Same happened me - the drier heater circuit has a safety cut-out (160°C, Red Spot) which does not reset, the component must be replaced. It is not a simple DIY task as it is fitted from the INSIDE of the air heater duct.
In my case, there were signs of burnt fluff in the duct. I suspect that fluff was sucked into the duct by the fan, dried out, burned and tripped the safety cut-out.
