You can pull the keyboard apart, upside down. Then remove the rubber piece. Clean the entire piece with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. You can also do this to your keys.

I don't see how to do this when I turn it over.

there should be 4-6 screws in the keyboard on the bottom you can remove.
Sometimes they are placed under the rubber feet.

Otherwise take rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab and clean out each individual key.
There should be a way to open up the keyboard as you can get replacement pads for the inside.

You have a choice. Clean the keyboard you now have or buy a new one. If it is a cheap keyboard I would just buy a new one which you can buy for as little as $10. If it is a nice keyboard you want to keep then a good cleaning will solve your problems. First, shutdown the computer and then disconnect the keyboard. Turn it upside down and using compressed air blow around all the keys. Tap it a few times to dislodge any debris. Now using isopropyl alcohol and cotton swap or Q Tips, clean in between all the keys. Be patient and clean in between them all. Reconnect the keyboard and start the computer. If this does not solve the problem then you will have to give is a through cleaning by removing the keys. Draw a diagram of where the keys go before removing them so you know how to put them back. Remove them all by gently prying them off with a butter knife or screwdriver. Do not remove the space bar, enter, shift, backspace, caps lock, etc. Just remove the small keys and leave the large keys alone as they can be very difficult to put back on. Now clean all the keyboard with compressed air. Blow under each key to remove any debris. Wipe each key down with alcohol and use a Q Tip to clean the underside. Clean the keyboard surface with a lint free cloth dampened with alcohol. This takes patience and time to do it right. After everything is clean then just place the key in place and press until you hear it click home. If the keyboard still has sticky keys, you will need to replace it.

What product to lubricate a new ignition switch that is sticking

If it were mine, I would squirt break cleaner or electrical contact cleaner into it to dry it out and let it set to dry completely. I would then squirt powdered graphite lube into it and work the key in and out repeatedly. I would then unhook the battery and switch it on and off repeatedly to spread the graphite around inside the tumbler.

Two of my keboard keys got hit by a child. They won't return to playing position. CLP-370

Hi there,
you'll need to open the keboard and check for the keys that has a missing mechanism on it. It usually is a stopper to prevent the keys from "sticking". You can use crazy glue or mighty bond to stick the broken parts together.

Hope this helps

Dora 204 SP Olivetti Typewriter I have an intermittent sticking returns key Causes paper to run on. Can I do anything about it, or can you tell me of a Service Centre in Hampshire n UK.

hello

take Q-tip cotton , apply small portion on hammer letter keys and carriage -- moving parts only

dip and smear into vasaline, wipe off excess. apply to the keys sticking or to carriage return key . this is amechanical sticking , so apply to where the part (carriage or moving part) applies. Also, take a plain paper , keep tapping the key and then return key carriage , until sticking stops and until the vasaline dissipates . repeat the typing for about 1-2 mintes until excess vasaline is no longer present on paper after typing.

repeat this process anytime the keys stick

hpe this helps

My keys sem to stick a lot and when i try to delete it wil only delete one letter at a time

If your keys are sticking, I would suspect a dirty keyboard. I have cleaned them, but it is a time-intensive job. We can provide instructions (mostly taking the keys off and cleaning them and under them and then replacing them).
Also, you should only delete one letter at a time. If you have turned the keyboard repeat off in the CMOS setup, the keys won't repeat.

Some keys on my keyboard keep sticking

hi Linda - keys stick over time because dust, crumbs, etc. get under them and cause them to stick.

Many times you can just repeatedly hit the sticking key a dozen or so times and restore it to its original status. Actually what u r doing is pulverizing the dust or crumbs into micro pieces..

Also try carefully tipping the open laptop upside down on a piece of newspaper or bed sheet and tapping it as if u were burping a baby.

Try these things and let me know. If I don't hear back cause it is resolved, kindly score my answer as a fix ya! thanks.
