Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W90 Digital Camera
The most likely problem is slight corrosion on the battery contacts. This would also be the easiest (and least expensive) to fix. Use a flashlight and very closely examine the battery contacts. You don't need much corrosion to prevent a good contact. Scrape any corrosion with a sharp edge. The corrosion is like rust and will not just wipe off. You need to expose the fresh metal for contact. Wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove loose corrosion. Replace the batteries. Begin capturing memories!

SOURCE: Canon A95 gone dead
Canon customer support will tell you what exactly what is going on[or not] I suspect a circuit failure- if the camera is out of warranty then a new camera will probably bt the answer.
