The ds alone can not connect to the internet, you need to have somekind of a wireless internet connection - wlan or bluetooth, as far as I remember it does not have phone features so the internet will only work when you are in range of your own wireless network or any other public open network.

the wireless settings might be wrong if you are in range.

Puttting a photo from my DSI to my facebook

You must have internet connection to upload pictures from your DSI to facebook. Make sure your DSI has the latest firmware update (go to the system settings menu and select system update). Then when you go to your album and select a picture, a Facebook icon should appear. Selecting this will open a page that lets you log in to Facebook and upload your photo.
Thanks for using FixYa!

My Nintendo Dsi XL will not upload pictures to Facebook

  1. Turn on your Nintendo DSi.
  2. If you already have a picture saved on your Nintendo DSi that you'd like to upload, you can skip ahead to step four. If you're taking a picture on the fly, proceed to step three.
  3. Press the "R" button on the upper-right shoulder of the Nintendo DSi to access the camera. Follow the on-screen instructions to take your picture. Press "Save."
  4. On the Nintendo DSi menu, press the "Nintendo DSi Camera" icon. Go to your "Album."
  5. Select the picture you want to upload. If you're interested, you can edit the picture first with stamps, graffiti, lens distortion, and other neat built-in features. When you're done, return to the Album's main menu.
  6. Once you're ready to upload your picture to Facebook, click on the Facebook icon that appears above your picture when you scroll past it on the Album's main menu.
  7. You will need to connect your Nintendo DSi to the Internet, and log onto Facebook. Your DSi will ask you for the email address and password you registered with Facebook.
  8. If your login information is correct, a prompt will ask you if you want to upload your photo to Facebook. Click "Yes."
  9. When you upload your first Nintendo DSi picture, a "Nintendo DSi" picture album will be created automatically on Facebook. You must use Facebook to add captions to your photos, and view/reply to comments your friends make on your pictures.
  1. -Make sure your Nintendo DSi's internet settings are working before you upload your photos.
  2. -You can edit your album information from Facebook, However, next time you upload a picture from your Nintendo DSi, another album titled "Pictures from Nintendo DSi" will be created automatically, and your new picture will be stored in it.
  3. -You won't need to enter your email address every time you want to upload a photo to Facebook from your DSi, but you will need to re-enter your password.
What You Need:
  • A Nintendo DSi
  • A working wireless Internet connection
  • A Facebook account

The 3DS basically, can already connect to the internet as long as you have connection to WiFi. But if you want to browse using your 3DS, Do these: System Settings > Other Settings > Tap on 4 > System Update > Enter your PIN code > Tap on OK when you have internet connection > I Accept > Plug AC adapter (Optional) > Wait.
After waiting, You'll get the Nintendo eShop and the Internet browser. Reminder: YouTube, Other media can't be played or downloaded, Facebook chat is not available.

Im trying to get in the internet to put picturs but it does not want to go in

You cannot get onto the internet? or you are having troubles uploading the photos while on the internet? If you cannot get on the internet through your DS, your connection setting might have to be reset. DS needs a WEP connection in my experience to get on, and cannot do so with a WPA Network. If you know how to change your network type that is what you will need to do, and also make sure you get a WEP passcode when you do so.
Hope this helps, need anything else ill be here Sean

How to facebook in nintendo ds

There is no built-in Web browser for the Nintendo DS Lite. There IS however, a piece of software you can purchase that enables you to surf the Internet on your DS Lite. It is called The Nintendo DS Lite Browser, and it was developed by Opera. You can find this online on sites such as Amazon or eBay, but your chances of finding one in a video game retail store are slim, as I believe the browser's manufacturing was canceled a while back.
