Hi, i turned my projector on as normal today and usually when i press the power to my sky box on the image comes on straight away. now however i just get the blue screen with a no input message. then the projector power ight goes to red even though its still on. at this point no remote control functions work, and the only thing i can do is turn it off at source. could the bulb need replacing? im not sure as it still projects the blue screen. any ideas?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Usually the key combination is 'Fn' (function Key) + F4 (or which ever F key that displays the symbol of monitor on it). This key combination is used to toggle the display between monitors.
Please come back and vote for me if this turns to be helpful for you.
Hi, Could you please give me more detail as to what you mean by make it wider. Is the picture currently using the width of the projected image? Have you used this projector before? Once I have more information I can assist you further. Thank you, Lee
Hello John, http://www.dishpointer.com/ is a good web site just incase your hitting the wrong satellite your wanting to line this upto 28.2e Astra.
If after doing this the ID does not work then it may be worth forcing a download onto the sky box.
If you not familiar in how to do this, then follow these steps. turn the power off to the sky box or unplug from the back of the box itself. Then what i want you to do is hold down the Backup button on the front of the box. then reinsert the power or turn back on. while you have the backup button pressed in.
Hold this button down until all the lights on the front of the box illuminate. You should now see on the the screen a warning message come up informing you not to disconnect the power or the sky cable.
This takes approx 10 minutes to do this. It takes longer if you watching this so make yourself a Cuppa.
hi i have the same projector (acer x1160) and want to connect sky to it also i was going to go with scart to vga but if you say that donsn work then i might try to connect the 10 pin vga that is on the back of the sky box to the 15 pin vga on the projector i will let you know if it works.
hi i think you might have the wrong software on the box, turn you tv on and put it on the sky channel take your viewing card out of the stb turn the box off then take the power lead out, wait till the stb powers down then put your finger on the backup button keeping it pressed put the power lead back in and holding the backup button wait till the on screen message comes on your tv, wait till the tv screen goes blank then put your card back in turn your box back on and try to record 2 channels at the same time this should solve the problem. if not it will be the cable or the quad lnb.
Check scart to tv is in the correct socket marked TV.
Try pressing services
then system setup
then picture settings.
Then try switching scart control to on or off.
If this sorts it great. If it doesnt check scart lead has all pins wired & not only A few.
Which sky box do you have and which model projector. are you trying to use SCART or YUV or what.
Please describe the connector available on the sky box and the projector. if you dont know or they are not labeled nicely please refer to the chart in the link below and let me know what is on both boxes. I will do my best to reply with EXACTLY what cable you need and a good place to order it, US and UK.
Also let me know what distance you need to run.
try removing the lamp, usually quite easy, you need to find the door for the lamp. lamps are customer replaceable, usually. If the lamp is bad you can usually see it damaged in the lamp. kind of like you might be able to see the broken filament in your normale house hold light bulb.
