Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

My son has a Toshiba Satellite A215 Laptop (Model # PSAFGU-03J002) which we purchased about 4 months ago. The laptop frequently goes to a blank screen w/o warning and the only way to rectify the problem is with a cold reboot. Any suggestions on how to rectify this? Thanks in advance.

My Toshiba Satellite A215-S7413 laptop randomly goes to a blue screen with lots of white writing on it. I never have time to read it because it goes away so quickly. After the screen goes away it restarts...

Try going to Start - Run.
Type sfc /scannow in the run line and hit enter or click ok.
A dialog will pop up that says "Windows File Protection"
Allow this to run and insert the Win XP CD if requested.
Hopefully this will resolve your issue!

Toshiba Blank Screen Help

Sounds like dead cells or dead circuitry in the battery, If the cells or circuitry in the battery are shorting across in the battery than all the voltage is being robbed to "charge it". Hopefully the voltage regulating chips on the board are not corrupt as this will cause the system to short everytime a battery is put in.
