Depending on the kind of connection between the digitizer and the mainboard of the phone you would need to replace the screen and the digitizer together or just the digitizer.

If there is no simple slide in and lock - type of connection. Then you would need to replace the screen and the digitizer together.

if there is a simple, unlock, slide out - type of connection or connector, which I suspect in your case is not. then you would just replace the digitizer.

I suspect you will have to replace the Screen And the Digitizer together. That Is what I had to do myself with another phone recently.

The VX11000 has a digitizer totally seperate from the LCD. Actually it is part of the front bezel. Make sure it is securely seated and the connector is completely closed. The problem could possibly be that the new digitizer is bad. I replace hundreds of these and got a bad batch from China that none worked and had to send them back.

Usually a one year warranty, do it now as Samsung can be very uncooperative after their warranty is up.

On my env touch there is a black screen wiyh white letters that says battery is requred. i have turned it off and on again nothing changes it

If you do have a battery in the phone, one of two things has probably happened:

1. The battery is not installed all the way, or the contacts are dirty. Turn the phone off, remove the battery, blow some compressed air into the cavity, and wipe down the contacts (on the battery and the phone) with a dry lint-free cloth. Then reinstall the battery and turn the phone on and see what happens.

2. The battery has died. Replace the battery and see if the phone works with a new battery.

Touch Screen does not respond after I replaced it.

hey doug,
this condition is seen mostly in when the part is bad.
I would go back in the iPod and make sure your connections are all plugged in properly. Make sure the Digitizer is plugged in secure, by unplugging it and resetting it in the plug.
Did you replace the glass and digitizer with a new part????
I would continue to contact the seller and arrange for a return.
It sounds like you digitizer could be bad.

If this helps please leave a vote

With use of Jawbone, recipients on enV get voice echo

About three months ago I bought the LG En V touch from a verizon store. I planned to use it with my old "New Jawbone" and my new "Jawbone Prime". The phone would nto pair at first then when they finally got it to pair I had a variety of problems. Verizon technicians performe a number of different steps trying to make it work as it was supposed to. They even reinstalled the software after about a week and a half I persuded the Verizon stor manager to replace the phone with a new LG EnVtouch and they exchanged my Jawbone Prime also. The new LG EnVtouch had the exact same set of problems. Neither of these phones worked any better with the bluetooth in my Garmin NUVI either. I loved the design and the features but if it doesn't work why bother. I returned the second LG EnVtouch after aabout five more days of frustration. And went back to my old phone. If you buy one of these and it doesn't work return it fast and let them know what you think!

Lg front screen cracked

Step one Take out battery!! to avoid esd (Electro Static Discharge that may ruin the new screen or fry your phone), there are four screws in the corners covered by a sticker material two over the speakers two under in the far corners hidden with stickers. remove those stickers with a sharp flat bladed eyeglasses screwdriver. use a #00 Phillips head screwdriver to undo these screws. Look along the edges of the face of the phone you will see where the colored piece meets the gray piece. I used the flat bladed screwdriver and carefully wedged these pieces apart and used my finger nails to carefully separate without penetrating too deeply with the screwdriver (that may crack the internal screen). pull the cover off gently you will notice after you removed the keypad there is a metal cage housing the internal screen gently pry it from the side of the end key You will see a 7 by 3 mm box underneath with gold connectors do not touch these the oil on your fingers will prevent the screen from working properly this is the connection for the outer and inner screen to the mother board on your phone (right side from top view) it may take some effort as mine was tight you will see the screen and zif connector for the front lcd. also the outer speaker is soldered to the lcd circuit pad. Take a picture with a digital camera if you need to de-solder from the old and resolder onto the new lcd (this is a pain in the ass and the pictures will help trust me!!!) lift the black clip on the zif connector and remove the screen ribbon while taking care not to pull on the earphone assembly use the flat head to remove the magnet and earpiece noting their orientation for later re installment. de-solder from the old lcd and re solder connection of these components to the new lcd. Place them back into their respective positions tucking the wires so that the cage will not pull on them when you push it down (there is a small gap but still be very careful) Place the zif connector ribbon in the holder and slide the plastic retaining clip back down. Flip the cage into its original position and push firmly into place. re-install the key pad and face plate. re install battery and power on. my screen didn't work at first. i had to press rather hard to get the pins to seat properly on the one and four button area after i closed everything up, where the part is i said not to touch, so don't be discouraged if you put it all together and neither screen works (I found this out after i got rather angry after all that work) This is all a very overwhelming amount of work but i learned a great deal. you may try ebay for a broken env or one with a bad ESN they go cheap <100$ and you can use the screen and speakers without soldering. That would cut the probability of failure by 75%. The contacts are ridiculously small 1mm by 2mm super hard to solder properly but everything else was simple. screens are available for 30.00 on ebay they are new but again comes the soldering issues. wish lg would use some sort of pin connector instead of soldering these contact directly to the phone that would make this phone way more easier to fix. hope this helps good luck
