You should just be able to plug the memory card into the reader, and then look for it in "My Computer" as would a flashdrive. If this still doesn't work, you maybe need to update your drivers from Dell's website.

Need softwear to download photos for Fugifilm finepix F30

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on Mac or Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

You can download software and drivers from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_a_series/powershot_a400#DriversAndSoftware

You might want to consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

I have a fugifilm finepix j20 digital camera ... i believe there is a memory card installed for extra photo storage ... but is it possible to recovery deleted photos with just the installation disk? Or do...

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

Your camera is not able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try the one at THIS LINK

If the pictures are very important to you, you might want to seek help from an experienced person.

Card not Initialized

Can you get into your camera's menus? If you can, there should be an Option under your Setup menu to Reformat card that might fix the problem. This happens sometimes with the memory cards, they just need to be reset. Unfortunately you can lose your photos sometimes when it happens, so if it's happening a lot you should buy a new memory card.
