Cannot send or recieve text

Hey! I've had the problem where I couldn't receive or send messages either, so I connected my phone to the internet (PC), went on the SE website, went to the model of my handset, then clicked on the 'update software' icon. So your phone will be updated via the internet. This process also tells you what to do step by step. My phone now works. So I guess its a software thing. Go on and try it.
