Hi. WHen a soap dispenser will not dispense soap it is generally because of one of two things. Either it is clogged or the soap you are dispensing is too thick and needs to be diluted a little with water, or possibly both. J.

If you are talking about a commercial grade and most residenscial grade dispenser then most soap dispenser have a small rubber diaphragm at the base of the spout that when you push down on the handle the force allows it to open dispensing soap. When the handle is released and strokes back upward the small **** in the diaphragm closes, thus not allowing soap to continue dripping from the handle. If this rubber piece is eroded it will not allow the siphon action you need to dispense the soap, or if the soap dries on the rubber device it could prevent it from opening and dispensing soap. The easiest way to check is to thoroughly clean the upper dispensing half of the mechanism and try to pass air thru the tube with the handle depressed. If the air doesn’t pass thru then the rubber device is clogged. Hot water some times helps the device open. If air passes through, then the rubber device is eroded away and will not allow the siphon action to take place, and in this case the dispenser would definitely need to be replaced. Remember most older soap dispensers we not intended to use antibacterial hand soap and some of them will include that in the instructions. The antimicrobial agent reacts with the rubber causing its premature breakdown (thats the tiny black spots you see in the soap when its dispensed)

Fix simplehuman soap dispenser

Solution!!!!! to Simplehuman sensor soap dispenser with blinking red light no despensing of soap and new batteries. Rinse out soap with hot water. Fill reservoir with hot tap water. Use bulb end of turkey baster. Place on reservoir to form a tight seal. Force air into reservoir. Which will force the hot water thru the system unclogging the thick soap. Repeat this several times till clear of soap. Then turn on the unit and flush thru the rest of the hot water using the sensor till comes out nicely. Then fill with a thinned out soap. Good luck

The smart soap dispenser on my GE profile dishwasher is not dispensing soap. I filled the smart dispenser several months ago and it does not appear that any of the soap was dispensed. how do i resolve?...

We mistakenly switched liquid detergents and mixed enzyme based and bleach based. They gelled in the dispenser. I took the outer door cover off and could not figure out how to take the white plastic despenser off of the main door without breaking it. I disconected the electrical harness and took the main door off the hinges so I could take it outside, turn it upside down and use the garden hose pressure nozzle to blast the gellout of the white plastic dispenser. I use a piece of plastic coat hanger to poke around inside to break up the gell several times. It all came out in marble size pieces.

Bleach despenser not working? soap and softener

Hello. Most likely your water inlet valve is the problem. If you are mechanically inclined you can change this yourself. That said, if your machine is less than two years old it is still under warranty. If so, call for service at Sears.com

The water is over flowing from the soap dispencer. i pull the tray out and the water is slowley draning into the machine how can i unclog it

it is most likely soap or softner clogging the hoses.
remove dispenser drawer (pull out to max, on the top near the rear of the dispenser there will be a tab that will allow you to remove completely) clean out anything that you see with rag, old toothbrush etc. any way you can, then put some hot (almost boiling water in the despenser area. this should clear your issue.

Dishwasher problem

Symptoms:
Dispenser lid is open. Caked powder at (what would be during normal operation) bottom edge of soap dispenser or caked powder fallen onto dishes or dishwasher bottom. There may be loose powder in rest of dispenser or spilled down inside door or onto dishes underneath dispenser.

Solution:

Keep the area around the soap dispenser lid clear when loading the top tray.

Explanation:
The soap dispenser needs to swing open during the wash cycle. In many dishwashers the top tray has an indentation as wide as the lid of the dispenser. This allows the top tray to be as large deep as possible while still allowing space for the dispenser lid to open. People often pack their dishwasher with things overhanging this gap.

During the wash cycle the catch will release but the overhanging cutlery or crockery prevents the lid from opening all but a few degrees. Some water will splash in but not enough to wash out the soap powder. The soap powder at the bottom of the dispenser will then cake.

When the front door is opened the spring loaded lid, which is partly open, will of course swing fully open and you'll be convinced that the lid opened normally during operation. If this is the problem then if you're very careful and open the door very slowly you can actually hear the lid flip open. Also, depending on when the lid opens, how far it opened during operation and how fast you open the door you may find soap powder spilled down to cover the dishes at the front or down the inside of the door. This happens when you first open the door and obviously there couldn't be loose powder there if the powder had emerged while there was water washing around. Seeing the lid open as you open the door is a lot harder but can be done on some machines.

the dispenser will always open when the washer goes through it's regular cycle. I would recommend to only use powdered soap, that is what the washer was designed to work best with.
