SOURCE: iPod connexion to Alpine CVA 1003R

Yes it can work. but you can only use the audio feature of your iPod and not the video. Try to look for a cable with RCA (red/white) connector and a stereo jack on the other end. Connect the RCA cable where the cd changer connects and the stereo jack to your iPod.

I have a Alpine CVA-1005: Mobile Multi Media Station and i can't get anything outa it????

If it is pre 2004 I'm pretty sure it will need a brain. Unfortunately, the only way you are going to get a brain for it is by going to ebay or pawn shops. You may even get lucky going to garage sales.

Can you connect an ipod to this unit (alpine cva-1003r) and which alpine part is it?

The cable that alpine offers now is for 2006 and up models. I checked to be sure....Its the KCE-422i. Your model is not mentioned on the sites. But...you should be able to run it through an input to RCA. Im not sure if there is any other patch cable made for your model.

Ipod input?

I've got an Alpine CVA1004 and use my ipod on the aux input of the headunit. The alpine-ipod interface was too confusing for me, with the ipod connected to the aux input, I just control the music from the Ipod, I find it easier that way.

I pod connection

You can just use an RCA to 3.5mm (headphone) cord in one of the AUX inputs. It will sound fine, you just can't control it from the radio that way.
