You have got to vent this machine for several reasons, fire hazard being one. The AC has to dispose of the heat it is removing from 'inside'. The hotter it is on the 'oputside' the harder the machine has to work to get rid of the waste heat. You can destroy your machine if it cant breathe. The heat must go to the out of doors some how ... the more, the better.

Where can in get a set of exhaust/intake hoses for a danby dpac120068 air conditioner

Is there a reason not to just go to the Danby site? Support Danby includes phone support, email and "Find Parts" Even if their source is out you should at least be able to find the correct part number, then Google Danby (part number).
You could also look to see if generic flexible vinyl tubing/hose can be substituted. It's doubtful that Danby created their own hoses.

I’m happy to help further over the phone at

I have a danby 8000 btu air condition. Model number DAC8008EE and its isnt cooling enough and gets hot. Can it go in a sleeve vent in my apartment? and why isn't it cold enough?

For some reason it is over heating. If the rear fan cannot vent the hot air out of the back of the unit properly, it will over heat. Make sure the rear coil is not stopped up with dirt on the inside of the coil. You will have to take the cover off or take a flash light and look thru the side vent thru the back fan blade at the inside of the coil. If it is stopped up with dirt, etc. You can wash this out with a water hose and sprayer, but make sure you don't get the motor and other electrical components wet. Best way is to take it out of the window, set it outside, and give it a good wash job. Let it dry out for a couple of hours before re-installing.
As for a sleeve, you HAVE to make sure the unit can vent out the back properly. If it can't it WILL overheat.

I recently purchased a Danby Premiere 13000 btu portable air conditioner. I live in a condo with swing out windows. What are my options for venting (short of returning the unit for a refund or replacing...

John, unfortunately, you don't have many options, short of putting a hole in an exterior wall and putting an exhaust pipe with a cap (like a dryer vent has) and connecting the exhaust hose to it. OR if you have a clothes dryer in your condo and it's vented to the outside. You could temporarily disconnect the dryer's vent hose and connect the A/C's vent hose to the the dryer's outside vent.

Either way, it may be to much of a hassle . But, I'll let you decide that. I guess it will all depend on how hot your condo gets without A/C.

Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks.

The plastic cover that goes into the window broke. it connects to the hose that runs the hot air out the window. how or where can i find a replacement?

The vent termination is simulair to a dryer vent termination. Take the broken with you and visit any home center or hardware store, and I am sure you will be able to find an adequate replacement.

Danby ALSO does not cool 3 days old

Take it back where you bought it. A 12,000 BTU unit should be more than enough for a 192 square foot room, so there is some problem with the unit.

Been on 12 hours now and gosh the room is cool,
