I can not install D-Link DSL 200 on the win xp sp3 for update 20 may 2009 pleaze help me

The only known solution to this problem is to either uninstall service pack 3 and 2, install the modem and install again SP 2 and 3, or format the computer, install Windows XP service pack 1, install the modem, then install SP 2 and SP3. A pain, I know. It's probably easier to just change modem. I welcome any developer who is willing to build an unofficial installer for this modem to work with SP 3 and Vista. Why throw away a useable modem only because the company that made it wants you to do so?

Partition

Hi,
The solution to your problem is very simple.
First make two partions of your harddrive, To do so:
-Open up control panel.
-Click open Administrative Tools.
-Click open Computer Managment.
-Then Click on Disk Managment on the right side.
-Choose your main Harddrive, Right click and click Shrink Drive
The amount you Shrink will became your second partions that you can put any OS you want.

After you Have made two partions Install the Vista Os on the second partion(its usually named D:).Soon after the installation is done choose vista from the OS choice menu.
-Log into Vista
-Click on the Drive that has XP installed into and by using the ".exe" files of the software you want to install. Install the software onto vista.
And there you go, now you have:
-Vista N XP on two seperate drives.
-And your vista has the software you wanted.

Please Rate, Thanks

I have everything connected but it will not connect to the internet.

Hi loveyou,

Can you provide some details about your setup? like the name of your ISP? if it's cable or dsl? brand/model or your modem and or router, and operating system of your computer (windows XP, vista, MAC)

you may want to start to check if you have properly connected your devices (cable used, port). If the connections are ok, check the LED lights and settings on your modem, router and computer (if you need to setup PPPoE on your router or computer if on DSL or do MAC registration or cloning for cable service.

I am trying to share a printer.

Are they both under the same network? Can the pc find the laptop under network connections and vice versa? If not, then right-click my computer, go to properties, go to the tab 'Computer Name' click on the button change, and make it part of a workgroup of your choice of name. Do this for both making them part of the SAME workgroup.
Then, make your printer shared under that workgroup.
