Question about Apple iPhone 3G
Are you in an area covered by data from your mobile provider, for example 3G or EDGE, or WiFi? If not then your iPhone cannot speak to your email server to get your mail! POP stands for Post Office Protocol which is technical term for the way the email is sent.
If you are all set up with internet access on your iPhone and you can check with app store or safari, then you will have to check your username and password are correct, as a last resort contact your service provider who hosts your email.
Hope this helps!
