If it is 2 yrs old,Just call the customer service,they will give you the parts for blender for lesser price or else go for new one.

The plastic piece which drives the blades has broken. I have another blender so I'm willing to just sell the parts I have - blades, pitcher, top etc. Please search Craigslist for Louisville with BL12475g if you're interested - just want to cover my shipping costs.
