Mr farhanpk, When very strange stuff starts to appear on the screen of any older model ccfl -back-lit lcd display I would certainly suspect and investigate the monitors ac to dc internal power supply for BAD, SWOLLEN, LEAKY electrolytic filter capacitors. Check your pc with a "known-good" monitor to make certain it is not the pc causing the problem. 12fixlouie

I m using Intel D945GNT board, from last 2 weeks i m installed the win 7 on it and add the (ATi x300 ,128Mb,Pci Express) graphics card, but the LCD showing lines behinde.when i m using builtin board...

so this is a custom PC, yes, be nice to lead off with that fact first no?
so the driver for the ATI card is wrong
go to ATI and get the correct driver
dont expect W7 to magcially get any video driver right.
that is your job as custom builder.
(it can only be 2 things, it seems.
bad card
or its driver bad.

I assume you use BIOS to switch from the 2 , correctly)???

LCD Problem: When i open up the laptop, all it shows is horizontal white and color lines/patches, which covers almost the bottom half part of the screen. The laptop is around 2 years old and this problem...

Sounds like the LCD is failing/failed. Hook up a desktop monitor and see if you have the same problem.
Replacing LCDs is not trivial. Here is a site that sells them. http://www.lcds4less.com/
Google LCD replacement and you'll find many sites.

A compaq TFT450, can it be used with USB to View?

no USB is not a video cable ever.
i guess you lost the manual, that it?
it tells you what the USB does.
page 2 tells you that is a USB hub, you use it to connect other USB devices, for say pc that has only 1 or 2 USB ports this allows more.
it is not related to VIDEO in any way.

Compaq TFT 8020 Display Problim

have you tried going to menu and setting back to factory defaults? also, disconnect power cable and leave unplugged for 1 minute. Plug back in then see if problem is still there. Otherwise, something is wrong with the monitor that will need serviced or exchanged.

Display fails after a couple of seconds

Connecting a different computer that works to it doesn't fix the problem(what does that mean, its not CLEAR at all)
my guess is you meant the new PC fails on this bad monitor , too.

ok the monitor fails on PC #2, sure....
so the monitor is bad, why ask for help, buy a new monitor.
why spend $100 to fix it when new is %50
why>?

your not going to fix any monitor, here, on fixya,
but there is one thing to check the very old monitors from compaq
ive answered this 4 times here now.
has menu botton
see that? push that now on the monitor
see that menu..
? one menu selection , has silly horrible, power saver timer on it
and a RTC clock that keeps time of day, (pc can be OFF)
if the power saver is on , get it off now, and if paranoid set the clock.
id set it. so its double safe, see?
this happened back in 2002.
i read you users guide for you its a 2001. oops, its got the above BS.

read page 18 and all related pages to this. clock and saver.
page 18 there, page 16 real.
if it one , the INANE thing will go to saver at odd times.
later this was removed for VESA , update, remote sleep rules. and time.

Speak to HP/Compaq they will be able to advise. They are usually pretty good with hardware faults. You probably have a three year warranty on it so take advantage. Your mobile phone is not by your pc or any other wireless phone?
