Question about LG Washing Machines
Check in the drain pump for debris. Behind access panel lower right hand side. If still full of water it should all drain away when you remove the filter. Some machines will dump the water if you lay the drain hose on the floor, or out the door if close enough.
After removing the filter check the impellor is free, use a torch to see & screwdriver to rotate impellor, it is correct to have resistance to movement then flicks away from screwdriver, will then turn approx 1/2 turn backwards before resistance is felt again. If the impellor will not turn by hand you will need to remove the pump, they can get hair ties etc caught behind the base of the filter housing.
