Question about Electrolux EW30DS65G Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Range

Open Question

The door on our oven buckled slightly so would not close completely and the light would not go off. We had the oven door frame totally replaced and it is doing it again. We keep it in the locked position when not using it and are careful not to place any undo pressure on the door when it is open. It is just my husband and I who live in our home - no children to cause any issues. We have a concern the design is flawed - perhaps the door is too heavy for the hinges. We had the oven for only a couple of years and have had numerous service calls. We are concerned as to the quality of this product.

I have a Competence B 6139-4-m electric oven. the door does not close properly, have tried cleaning it as intruction manual suggests, the heat escaping from the oven has scorched my cupboards

the fault is unlikely to be the actual oven unit so therefore in order of least expense the things to check are:- the door seal being complete, the hinges not having been forced, the door not being buckled, self adhesive universal seals are available online from *spares etc. Hinges are easy to remove from the cooker and then can be unscrewed from the door and replaced. if it's the door I would have to say that's less likely to be available for a sensible price.

Door to oven does not close completely - how do I access the door hinge to check or replace it?

Open oven door. Flip metal holder down at hinge to lock hinge. Lift door with hinge attached up slightly and off oven. Reverse to re-install door, making sure notch at bottom of hinge is hooked in frame of oven properly.

Your oven door may have a defective hinge or simply is not aligned correctly. I am assuming the door, when shut, is NOT totally sealed around all four sides??? If the door is sealed around all four sides, than you have a switch that activates the light that is possibly defective. As for the electronic display, this display unit will have to be replaced.

Adjustment to door hinge, as door does not close completely

In most cases door hinges needs to be replace but some time with old stile ovens and ranges help this trik:
1. Put small towels on right and left hinge between the door and range/oven body
2. Close door and gently push like you try to close completely.
3. Try several times.
4. Open door, remove towels and see if it helps
5. If not replace hinges

Microwave door shattered

This is not a job you should do. Microwaves are dangerous things and can cause injury. An improperly fitted door will leak. A new door, installed and checked out by a technician is needed here The economics are beyond my area.
