I'm trying to upload my pictures from my DXG-587V to my computer but every time I plug it into the computer, my camera shuts off and I can't get my computer to pull it up. Any suggestions??

Hi Beth,
The best i can suggest you is.. Turn off the Camera before you connect the USB Cable..
Try a different USB port on your PC to connect the Cable and once you have connected the Cable, Power on the Camera, it should work.

I have an Akai DC6371 digital camera and the card I have in it is a Kodak 128mb SD card. However, the camera will only let me save 4 pics to the SD card. I tried putting a different card in it that's...

Hi I can tell that sometime you have to format within computer using external memory card reader, not from camera. It is not recommend switching around one sd card to another camera. It cause card error. If you want to use it, then you have to save pictures somewhere in other storage or computer, and format the one you want to use in computer using external memory card reader. And then one more time format in camera (you have to insert memory card into camera) These method very helpful on like your problem. If not working, then you have either camera defective or memory defective. Thanks and best regard!

hi if you can not access in order to get picture out memory stick, then take easy way. you just get a usb external memory card reader and connect to computer. your computer now will recognize as a diver. then you put memory stick into the slot. open my computer and you will see your picture drive and folder. now you can handle whatever you want. you may use built in memory card reader, too. if you have. thanks and best regard!

Need software and driver for ion digital camera

This type of camera is mostly designed and made in China, and is usually unsupported in vista. For XP you can try installing the driver came in a CD along with your device.
You can also try for alternate way.
If the camera uses a memory card, you can buy a card reader.
Then you do not have to install any of the software that came with the camera.
Any store that sells digital cameras will sell memory card readers.
Prices run from $10 to $20.
You can attach the card reader to your computer USB port and Vista will recognize the reader as being a new hard disk. Vista will load the correct drivers.
After that is done, install the memory card (full of photos) into the card reader.
Then you can use Windows Explorer or My Computer to find the new hard disk (which will be the memory card). Use drag and drop to move the photos to your computer.

I have had my canon s3 for about 3 years now everything has been great until now. I cant seem to upload pictures to any computer now. When I plug in the usb it does not even detect that it is there. I have...

It may need to have cleaned the USB port in your camera. Dust and dirty can cause such failures.

Other reason is that the USB circuitry in the camera's main board is defective.

IF after cleaning the USB port, you have the same problem, a cheap alternative instad on sending the camera to repair, it's to use a SD card reader to download your pictures from the memory card.

Device driver for g3

Dear diksi:

Unfortunately your G3 is incompatible with Windows Vista. To
do downloads to your computer you will therefore have to utilize a compact flash card reader. You can get them from any store that sells digital cameras. I bought one from Wal-Mart three months ago for $14.00.

You can still load and use your software however. You just won't be able to download using Canon Camera Window.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
HeavyDLB

Hi,

You can try the software from here.

Pick vista and then english.

According to Canon, Vista doesn't support this camera as it is old.

Driver for Canon EOS 400D

This camera does not require a driver on windows XP. The most common cause of USB related communication issues is the USB cord itself. Second most common cause is the USB port on the camera as they are easily damaged. You can fix the problem by buying a USB card reader instead of plugging the camera directly into your PC. If you use the camera's USB port it will eventually fail, they simply can not last through years of plugging and unplugging and the bumping around associated with use of the on board USB port. With the card reader you simply remove the memory card from the camera, plug it into the reader and then proceed to get your pictures. It is simple, reliable, and all around the best solution to this and all problems related to communicating with your camera over USB.
