Question about HP OfficeJet G55 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I changed the black ink on the Printer and it saying that Cartriges is not detected. Please help

Hello,

You may need to reset your printer, follow this steps to reset the printer,

. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold “# and 6′ keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.

You can also power off the printer and power on back, while the printer is warming up/loading, pull out the plug from AC wall, this can also help to rest your printer.

If after resetting the problem persist, it means the cartridge you inserted into the printer is not genuine. You will need to get a genuine cartridge.

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts. Sometimes the power supply unit must be checked as a poor SMPS unit can deliver low voltage and cause issues to the printer function. Check all the leads and connections of the mother board , the tags to the ink cartridge. Also check the mechanical settings of the ink cartridge , if jammed or tight remove motor and manually free the drive before it is set back.

I would like to advise you to remove the printer and uninstall the printer software from your PC, then reinstall the printer software to the PC, then connect the printer to be detected and installed. Now try to do the test described and see it it works out. Hope I could help . Good day

Replaced cartriges with remanafacuter. Front


Try removing all 4 ink cartridges and unplug the power.

Close the ink cover, leave the ink cartridges out and then plug the power back in.

Once the printer boots up completely, reinstall the cartridges

Printhead has a problem black/yellow


I am so frustrated. It is going through them like candy. The cartriges obviously have ink in them but the printer says there is some thing wrong with the cartriges. There is not HELP!! I can not afford this printer anylonger

The ink cartriges wont fit into the printer.


This printer uses PG-30 and Cl-31 ink tanks. You can also use PG-40 and CL41. Open paper output tray. Turn on the machine and lift up the scanning unit or printer cover. Pull unit support down into place and the ink holder will move to the left. Gently remove cartridges and install new ones. Let me know of outcome.

Fixed new colour cartridges, and they are saying that the colour cartridges are empty and they are full


please check whether the printout is coming proper when you give a print.
if its coming proper the cartridge is proper.this message is shown because in the printer there is a sensor which detects where there is a ink in the cartridge or its empty.so if the printouts are coming properly the sensor is bit moved from its orignal position or the sensors are damaged and became faulty to detect the ink in the cartridges.
so you use the cartridges let it detect no ink print out will come till the end of the ink.

or if still the prints do not come try changing the cartriges .

Why can't I print using only black ink?


If any cartridge is empty, the printer will not print at all. No, there is no way around this.
