Question about Toshiba 32DF46 32" TV

1 Answer

My Toshiba 32DF46 has worked beautifully since I got it in late 2006. While on vacation for a month, I unplugged it so it would not be subject to any voltage spikes or such while I was gone. When I returned home it worked well for about a week then it would not turn on manually or with the remote. If you have any clues as to what may have failed I would be greatly appreciative. Generally a bad capacitor will dry out. The result will be no voltage passing through it. This is always my first inspection after I see the fuse or fuses are still good. I would certainly start there.

I have been on vacation for 1 the AT&T modem does not work. Why?

Most DSL Modems are subject to power fluctuations and network issues that can "lock them up". The first thing any tech will tell you is to unplug the modem for about 20-30 seconds, then plug it back in. Watch the lights on the front to make sure they come on in test mode, then finally look correct. You should have one that indicates DSL is working that would be labeled DSL or something similar. If this does not work, you will either have to reset the modem using a web browser, or if it has been hit by lightning, replace it. Your ISP (internet service provider) should be able to assist you with which lights should be on, etc.

Will not turn on

I have an Olevia screen that sometimes does this. The solution is highly technical. Try unplugging the unit, wait a couple of seconds, and then plug it in again. I don't know what's going on, but this always works for me.

audio can be done the same way in the audio menu

hope this helps
