Computer nbot recognising camera

I have installed the camera software for my finepix s5000 but when I turn it on the comnputer bleeps at me but still says software noit installed, I have showed the computer where the driver for the device is but it still wont work. when I go to camera and scanner wizard there are no cameras iunstalled and the selection it gives me doesnt include my model. I have downloaded a driver from fujifilm website and this doesnt work either. How can I get my computer to recognise my camera?
