Question about HP Compaq dx2000 Microtower PC Desktop
Actuallly i have purchased used hp compaq dx2000 mt desktop. and i have no any CDs for this system. now i install a windows just like a simple way which i used to installed our old systems. but right now i m facing too much problem during installation. system is booting from windows CD and when it wil start copying files it gives error like p3.sys file not found in ur CD. After quiting when i again boot from same CD and now during copying files it give error on some other file and now p3.sys file copied.
now kindly tell me the procedure step by step or also send me any utility which is required for installation of windows XP.

Either you have a defective CD, or a defective Hard Drive, or defective memory. Firstly is this a clean install? Try reformatting the drive and running chkdsk or a manufacturers disk utility. Then remove fingerprints and other marks from CD by wiping from the centre outwards. Let me know how you get on.
