SOURCE: My Sharp Flat Panel Television LC19SB25U has Picture but No Audio

Sharp has had a few problems with their audio boards, not finding any bulletins on this model, but a few complaining about low audio on amazon reviews section. If using an antenna you will experience some channels with low audio. If using cable you should get good sound on all channels..
the 9.1 and 9.2 are digital channels and sharp does display them for at least a few seconds when you switch to that channel. Check all your setting in the audio to Stereo never SAP. To options for you are get a cable box, first check in the back and see if there is another coax in, if there are two try both rescanning after connecting.

We are unable to receive radio stations on our recently purchase lcd26advd, is this tv set up or how it should be. The instruction manual makes no mention of radio stations.

Digital TVs or set-top boxes only receive the digital TV signals not the digital radio signals. To receive digital radio, you need a digital radio (DAB+) receiver. The ABC does broadcast two of its digital radio music stations-ABC Dig Music and ABC Jazz-on digital TV and they are available on channels 200 and 201.
If this is helpful a vote of the thumbs up would be appreciated

I just bought a teac HDB849 set top box and when I do the automatic channel search I only get 9 digital, GO and Gem. No other channels are found. when I manually key in 72 for 7two or any others I get...

I find that with my HDB849 I have to be very carefull with the positioning of the aerial/rabbit ears to get all the channels to (ABC, 7, 9, 10, SBS and their sub cahnnels) to recieve them at all. Also once you get all the channels it is prone to digitization or pixilation at times due to bad weather/very overcast days.

Try the Teac.com.au for a firmware upgrade as this also solved not being able to view avis & images, listen to mp3's etc.

Overall the majority of reviews say the HDB849 is to be avoided.

Once set up correctly through trial and error and an absolute shitload of patience and re-tuning it seems to operate fine. Just pray you do not get a power outage or you have to start all over again.

Last point, try the teac 1300 number in Australia (or relevent country) and harras them for info whilst trying to stay calm and nice with the unlucky "tech support" person

My sister has just bought me a Sanyo 26 inch TV (LCD-26XR9DA) but it won't pick up SBS and ABC jumps all over the place. I have an outdoor antennae and had no problems picking up the channels on my old...

Go to the TV setup menu and autodetect all channels. This should fix it. This is assuming your Sister is not using a set-top box.

In that case, you neet to leave the set on either channel 3 or 4, or use the video/audio input jacks and leave the set on VIDEO IN. The best picture with a non-HDMI set-top box will always be with the AV OUT from the box going to AV IN on the set [the white/red (audio left/right) and yellow(video) connections].

If she is using a set-top box with an HDMI output, connect an HDMI cable to the set and select HDMI IN for the absolute best picture.

Have a new digital TV, can only record the 5 terrestial channels, how do I tune in to the other digital channels, i.e. BBC3, E4 etc.

It's not clear what you mean! So one of these answer might solve it. If you are talking VCR recording it must either have a freeview tuner or have a freeview box connected to it via a scart. Otherwise it will only record the five terrestial.
Digital TV -you must have a good aerial otherwise you will not pick up all the stations. If it has a hard disc drive the same will apply.
If the terrestial stations have any grain or the picture is not as clear as a bell on all, then your aerial will not be good enough. The type of aerial should be for freeview. See image below also you need to have CT100 cable (the stuff used for satellite) not the old brown co-axial cable (see below).

My panasonic viera started showing a no signal sing on channels 7, 10 and 9. we hav tried re tunin but all we can get is abc and sbs.. CAN ANYONE HELP???

1.Set your TV settings first,if you are installing a cable then set your TV to cable mode but if you seek for local channels set your TV to antenna with NSTC set to program.
2.When tuning make sure that the antenna is connected to the tuner and use a good antenna.
3.If the following procedures above did not remedy the problem, the next procedure is now internal repair.
Warning: This should be done by an expert.
a.Try to replace memory IC
b.If not remedy, try to replace tuner.
c.If not remedy, adjust IF and replace crystal.

Record and watch different channels with freesat

I believe that the Humax can only output 1 channel and because it has no built in hdd and twin channel capabilty that is all you can record 1 channel (unlike sky +/sky HD) so that means also that unless you watch a different source (like the picture from your aerial (terrestial channels)) you are stuck with having to watch the channel you record

I have a centrex CTDV100 set top box that has lost all its channels. Rescanning only finds SBS channels - ie no ABC, 7, 9 or 10. I've reset to defaults and rescanned but no change.

HI

I have a remote that stopped working could I purchase yours, alternatively I could email pages from my manual so you can try to have your box work again
