Well it depends if it is a wireless printer, the firewall, whether in the internet security suite if you have one..
If not then it would normally be something as far as the drivers for the printer are just not working correctly and if so follow these steps..
Go to Control Panel then to Programs and features/add and remove programs..
then look for the associated printer.. uninstall the printer and all associated for cleaner re-install
then reboot and when it comes back on just have the printer unplugged and reinsert the CD and run the setup again, and when it prompt for the USb to be plugged in or wireless..
select which applies and continue setup after finishing the issue should be resolved...
P.S. if wireless and u tried disabling the internet security firewall and it still didnt then do above step as well and re-install... note the windows firewall does not necessarily block the printers from printing in the newer OS... usually a third party software... webroot, AVG... e.t.c.
Good luck give it a shot, got nothing to lose but printing to gain...

Hello, This happens with epson as it has a chip on the cartridge, which sometimes shows the cartridge empty even if there is some ink left on it. You can try this steps:- 1. With the printer turned on press the ink replace button, which will bring the print head to ink replacement position, pull out the cartridges one by one and cover the tip of the cartridge with some tape and shake the cartridges and reinsert it on the printer and press the ink replacement button once again, the printer will check the inks cartridges, if the inks is empty it will show the red light again, pressing the button once will bring the printer to ink replacement position with the cartridge to be replaced on the replacement position. you can also check on the printer software on the pc that which ink cartridge is emptied.
Hope this helps.

Epson ink cartridges have memory chips. If you refill a cartridge it will still show as empty until the memory chip has been reset. The printer will not normally print if it thinks the ink is empty. This is to protect the printer as the ink is energized as it is used.
Refill ink sellers on line usually have the Chip Reset tool available to buy (SK168-II).

The Ink at the head of your Printer Cartridges has dried up.
Try this:

Load some plain paper in the printer

Remove the cartridges from the printer and carefully dab the print heads of the cartridges with a damp paper towel. ( when you start to see ink, the ink is starting to flow).

Replace the cartridges into the printer.

Go to:

Start
Control Panel
Printers
RIGHT click on this printer
choose Printing preferences
services
clean print cartridges 9some papers may print)
follow the instructions and do the heavier cleaning as well

Run the calibration function and allow the paper to print.

Acts like it's printing, ink is good, but nothing prints out on paper.

Have you removed the tear off tape from top of cartridges, it lets the air in and ink flows.

Canon Multipass F30 not printing

Did you remove the tab that covers the cartridge head where the ink comes out, if the drivers and software that you loaded on your pc work
good and your printer shows under device MGR, then it is the printer
itself,,most times you can not see how much ink in the cart,,,most are sealed,,,just try to put the cart in again and make sure it is locked in good,,try running the cleaning program with pc,,make sure the right
cart is in the right spot, bl in one spot and color in a spot.

Lexmark C1150 printer doesn't print

First I try to uninstall the printer, it didn't work, so I reinstall the the printer anyway, it worked for one print only.
As second attempt I disconnected the printer completely, turned the PC off, and after few minutes on again. Uninstalled printer.
Reconnected the cables again, install the printer - it works well!

Printer not printing

It sounds like it is out of ink. If you have replaced the ink cartridge recently, is it possible you forgot to remove the small piece of tape that is placed over the head to prevent ink leaks? That has to be removed before installation.
