That model has been plagued with capacitor failure across the entire Chassis. However if the led is srtaedy blinking green you would need the V26 Chassis DLP DM / Power baord repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which does come with instructions. If your symptom is different they can also help assist with what repair kit will most likely solve the issue.

Fan inside the house comes on and cool air comes thru vent but fan on outside compressor wont come on is is the capcitor

It could very well be the capcitor. If you have a duel capcitor (1 cap. that is used for both the fan & the compressor) the compressor may not run either. First and easieast try the capcitor. If thats not it and the compressor is running & all wires look ok than its probebly the fan motor.
Hope this helps;

Tv plays sound but no picture or any signs of backlight

This sound is a capcitor pop and this could be in the power supply unit itself. The glass could be a fuse that took the brunt from the capcitor pop.

1. Unplug the unit and do not plug it in.
2. if its under warrenty take it in please!
3. if its not under warrenty and you know eletronics verify what cap popped and replace that and the fuse.
4. if you do not know about eletronics this work would cost you around $150 for the wrok done.

Good luck I hope this information helps you!!

Tv turns off after 5min,1-2 hrs

This will sooner or yet later get worse as time moves forward why?

You have a power supply unit gone bad in this TV.. The reason why I know is this the capcitors I call caps would look swollen and would heat up to a point that the TV just looses power as the capcitors cannot hold any charge anymore as they are defective. If your SAVVY you can discharge the TUBE and fix the PSU buying the capcitors online and soldering them yourself on the power supply unit. check this website out for reference on how Caps look www.badcaps.com open up your TV and see if you got bulging caps if you do that is a major issue and it would need replacment. Thanks for using Fixya.com hope this helps please rate!!
