I had "07,010.43", but I opened it up, saw the wiper blade attached to the printhead, and fixed that.
NOW it warms up just a little bit further than it did, then I get "07,007.40"

That is a process drive problem.
The cam on the maintenance kit may be broken, the stud mounting the process drive gear box may have snapped or the process gear assembly may need to be replaced or retimed.
That is the gear train on the right side of the machine.
The gearbox mounting pillars break allowing the gearbox to move around. This causes error codes such as 07,002.4x / 07,007.4x / 07,008.4x / 07,009.4x / 07,010.43 / 07,014.4x

Printer error 07,007.40:80035

Xerox 2424 or 8400 series 07,007.40/49 is a process motor sequence error often caused by the printhead leaking wax on to the pivot shaft and bearing block mounted on the left side of the printhead unit, this stops the printhead tilting. Check for leaking wax around the silver block on the side of the printhead or around the waste tray, if wax gets into the tilt gear at the back of the waste tray slot, this is the error it shows.

I need to restore NVRAM from the WorkCentre 2424.

1. From the System Setup menu, go to Information --> Troubleshooting --> Service Tools menu.
2. With the cursor at the top of the Service Tools menu, press both the Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons to display the Hidden Service menu.
3. Reset NVRAM is in there

If that doesnt work try below.
1. Turn the system power ON.
2. Wait for the Xerox logo to begin moving across the display.
3. Before the logo is centered on the display (stops moving), press and hold the Back and Info buttons on the control panel.
4. Hold both buttons until the display reads 'Beginning Service Mode Initialization'. Release the buttons and the system reboots into service mode with the Service Diagnostics menu displayed. You should find it in the function sub menu.

Xerox Phaser 8500 Error code 07,010.43:81877 Please can you tell this error code

That is a problem with the print head movement,
Normally on a 2424 you get ink spill from the catch tray, It spills into the print head block and causes the print head not to pivot properly.
Remove the scanner and document feeder assembly, remove the two screws on the back covers and pull up and out on the side of the covers. The front cover will also come off.
Now on the left side, looking from the front, you will see a stainless steel block. about 1 inch square, it is on the lower part of the frame about 2/3 of the way back. It will most likely be contaminated with yellow ink. You will have to slip the spring clip off of the block and use some channel locking pliers to work the block off, clean it well, the print head shaft also, then remove as much of the excess ink as you can from the machine,
If that doesnt fix your problem let me know, the cleaning blade may be tacked to the print head. But check the print head block first. that causes that code most of the time.

ERROR MESAGE: 39,012,40:63227 WORKCENTER 2424 DP

Error 39,12.40 is caused by the black shutter that moves across the face of the lamp inside the document feeder getting stuck. I've repaired over a dozen of these units and all had the same problem. The shutter is moved by 2 coils of mylar fastened to a rotating shaft, as the shaft rotates the mylar coils unwind pushing the shutter forwards. Xerox have fastened the mylar to the shutter with 2 small pieces of sticky tape, these come of and the left over adhesive sticks the shutter to the housing assembly. To repair this the scanner assy has to be removed from the ADF unit, the cover over the scanner slot removed and then the mylar coils cleaned with alcohol or label remover. Don't forget to clean the housing where the mylar was sticking and don't replace the sticky tape, the shutter is fastened well enough without it.

Xerox 2424 Print head not parked

A copule of things cause that.
Here are the main 2.
On the left frams looking from the front, with the covers off, there is a 1 inch square stainless steel print head block that is located about 2/3s of the way back , near the bottom of the frame. Look at that and see if there is ink built up in that block , also under and around the block. If so remove the spring holder thats over the block and take channel lock pliers and remove that block. It may be very stiff. To clean soak it in hot water to soften the ink and clean that block, the shaft and all the remaining ink under the block you can remove. Once you return the machine to working order, take a level and out in on the glass. Make sure it is LEVEL front to back and side to side.
Number 2 is the print heasd wiper is stuck to the print head. That requires removing the scanner/document feed assembly, the side covers, the upper rear cover and the ink loader assembly,( where you put the ink sticks). Once you remove that you have access to the print hear drum area. If needed carefully pry the wiper from the print head and return to service. That blade will stick if the machine is not properly shut down.
I strongly suspect the machine is not level and when you ran the cleaning mode, it sucks all the ink out of the print head. Most likley while that ink was dropping into the tray, it ran out the back of the tray.
