Problem selecting programme (by 3 users)
my bf162 is misbehaving, when pressing the programme select button it now makes a short high pitched beep and doesn't move the light indication, i switch it off at the supply for a bit then turn back on, this resets for a couple of mins and a programme can be selected then it starts but after a min or so stops and the left hand light flashes and is locked out as described earlier, please help soon as the dishes are piling up

1st indicator light flashing, tried to reset, no joy. Problem started when kitchen fitter had replace door panel. Possible he had banged it and disturbed wire in control panel?
Manual does not give fault code and directs you to call in a Hotpoint engineer £££££. Would be cheaper to buy a new one if no one can help!!!! PLEASE help as I have to pay the kids to wash-up!!

I have the same problem.
I put it on for an ecowash, however after about 20 seconds there is a beep and the first light starts flashing. The dishwasher makes the normal noise for those twenty seconds but it doesn't kick in with the water.
Any solutions please let me know.
Guidesounds like you have a heater problem,check connections on your main module behind control panel if all appear ok check you heater for open curcuit.
