Refrigerator tries to come on but doesnt

Probably you heard a click on and off when the compresor is trying to start , that could be the relay or the compresor went bad .Try replacing the relay (no more than $30) If the compresor doesn't start is either burned or stuck and has to be replaced.

Compressor doesn't run

If the fan located next to the compresor works that means that the compresor relay is bad or the compresor burned out.

Compressor not kicking in. sounds like it is trying to. everything else is working fine. not getting cold.

Its sound like the compresor is off on overload ,eithe you have a bad relay(located on the side of the compresor under a black plastic cover ,cost about $20 or is a bad compresor wich cost alot more.I will try the relay first.

No cooling, compressor comes on and shuts off quickly

All refrigerators compresors have a relay and a overload thermal protector ,both are located on the side of the compresor behind a black plastic cover atached to the compresor with a metal clip(or just the cover snaps in on the compresor).Unplugged the fridge ,pullout the cover and you'll see the relay and the overload replaced them (no more than $30).If this doesn't solve the problem you have a bad compresor, wich is a much more expensive job.

Refrigerator continuously cycles

This is a generic problem with Whirpool refrigerators. The start relay for the compresor(located on the side of the compresor under the black plastic cover) is probably bad ,replace it(about $ 20) with a new one(write down where the wires go) that should solve the problem if not the compresor is bad.

Turns on...clicks every few minutes....never gets cold

It looks like the compresor is trying to start and goes off on overload ,it could be a bad relay or a bad compresor.Try first replacing the relay located on the side of the compresor under a black plastic cover(ALWAYS UNPLUGGED THE FRIDGE BEFORE DO ANY WORK) if that does not work you need to replace the compresor.
