If it feels like the whole thing is dead in the water, then it is probably your fuse in the back. always include the year and the make of your unit. then people can help more. fuses on modern refrigs are mounted on the circuit board in the back and have to be soldered off and on.

Sub Zero 650S 3 Shutting Down/Tripping

According to your information you gave you either have an extended circuit (electrical) or a short/weak connection in the unit. If you can get to the outlet for the unit, try another outlet (different circuit would be better) this would rule out the electrical issue, either the unit or the power supply to the unit could be the issue. If you can you might want to call a subzero tech to look at this. This units main power supply into the unit is located in front on the freezer compressor, if you have a dark or blackened molex connection you would have a short there. Try the relocation of power first and see were the issue can be isolated to supply or unit.

Good luck

Subzero Model 424 Service Light ON - Codes: 10EC, 15EC, 73UE, 73LE, 73UP, 73LO. No codes are EE.

an "EE" code means you have an open thermistor. "EC" is a extended compressor run code. typically with the 424 if the thermistors are good, as in no "EE" codes you probably have a refrigerant leak. 73UE is the temperature at the upper evaporator thermistor. 73LE is the temp at the lower evaporator thermistor, 73up is the upper compartment temp and 73lo is the lower compartment temp. the unit probably has a leak in the evaporator/heat exchanger assemblies and needs a refrigeraton system rebuild

Please identify compressor connections. Original = red to low, white to high left, nothing on high right. New 3n1 has black (common) and red (run) white (start) and twin black power lines.

The three compressor pins are shaped in a triangle, the common is either directly on the top or directly on the bottom depending on the compressor. The wires of the supco are installed with the red to run, the white to start, and the black to common.(If the common is directly on top, run is lower right and start terminal is lower left) (If the common pin is directly on the bottom, the run is on the upper left, and the start is on the upper right) When you cut out the bad relay overload, the wires hook on the two black wires of the supco with bare ends.

Check for full 120 volts at the outlet, important.
If you have a meter you can ohm out the compressor windings, the run and start are connected to the common. It is easier to explain looking at a picture, so good luck.......... Picture a triangle with three letters c for common, r for run, and s for start........

The other thing to remember is there is a new type of compressor(some variable speed new one I am unfamiliar with) that does not use this setup, check the schematic(95% will) Consider if you still have a warranty on the compressor also. Supco also sells a 3n1 with a hook up for the old capacitor on its part, very handy, just plugs on, you do not mention it, so probably not the one you have. If you get your compressor running and it sounds good, do not buy a fridge full of groceries for a week or so, compressor may fail, let it run for a few days first, hope this helps,
good luck and do not forget to unplug when working on it..........

This is basically general information for a older refrigerator out of warranty....
Also consider the possibility of what could go wrong if you are not sure of your work, do not attempt this if there is a strong burn mark from old electrical s, replace compressor and or buy a new unit.

Freezer not cold enough to maintain ice and food

  • When your refrigerator isn't cooling your food and drink items, first check that the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet. If you recently plugged in the refrigerator for the first time, it will take approximately 8 to 12 hours before the refrigerator is cool. Even though the refrigerator is cool in this time frame, you shouldn't place the refrigerator to a colder setting until the initial cool down stage, which takes 24 hours.

If the refrigerator has been running for 24 hours, you can adjust the refrigerator to a lower setting. The control panel is located in upper portion of the refrigerator compartment. Press the up arrow button to set the refrigerator to a higher setting, which will decrease the temperature of the refrigerator compartment.
  • Door
  • If the temperature control is correctly set but the refrigerator compartment still does not cool down, check the refrigerator door. First, remove any food or drink items that are preventing the door from fully closing. In addition, make sure all of the drawers are fully closed, as they may keep the door from closing.

Next, clean off the gasket with warm, soapy water and a sponge. Rinse the soapy water off of the gasket. If the gasket is not clean, it will not create a seal with the refrigerator.

Another reason the refrigerator is not cooling down may be because the refrigerator door is opened too frequently or left open for a long period of time. Pay attention to your use of the door and try to shorten the amount of time the door is opened.
  • Other Causes
  • Your Jenn-Air refrigerator might not cool down for other reasons. If you have recently added food to the refrigerator, the temperature of the food may have an effect on the temperature of the refrigerator. The temperature in the refrigerator will adjust after the food sits in the unit for an hour or more.

You may have obstructed the air flow on the inside of the refrigerator with the placement of your food. The rear air grille is located under the crisper drawers. Move any food items away from the rear air grille to increase the air flow through the refrigerator.
  • If those thing above did not solve your problem you better check and replace the relay and compressor and it will be good as new. Thanks

If you find the lights in your refrigerator do not work, check for the power supply. You need to see if the refrigerator is plugged in properly. Also check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. See if there is any damage to the electrical cord and check the outlet voltage. Troubleshoot the problem and if you do not find any of the above reasons as the cause of the problem, replace the thermostat. The defrost heater has nothing to do with this problem.

    Take care.

My dometic 2611 dosent want to operate correctly. Check light consistantly comes on. I'mm connected to ac power all of the time. AC sometimes works for a day or so then it might switch to gas for no...

If your unit is automatically switching from AC to gas for no reason, then you either have a problem with the power supply or the lower control board. On the outside of the fridge, there is a black box located in the lower left corner, this box is the control unit. The control unit senses the incoming power source and automatically switches it to LP if no AC power is available.

Turn the refrigerator on and set it to auto. Let it run until you notice that it switches to gas. Immediately go outside and check for incoming 120VAC power at that lower board. If you have power there, then you have a bad board. If you do not have power, then you have a power supply problem. Check the electrical plug and outlet in the fridge compartment and also make sure that your GFCI's throughout the coach are ok.

    Hope this helps,
