Question about Samsung Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have a Samsung Phone it is about a year old. The ringer is not loud enough for me to hear it when I am driving the Bus. I am 71 but my hearing is still reasonably good. My problem is that the vibration feature keeps shutting off all the time. I understand I am probably doing it by myself but I have no idea how to do this. I go to the place where I bought and some nice young lady goes klick klick klick a few times and says there. Well I have no idea what she did and I can never restore the vibrate again when I don't turn it off in the first place. HELP Bob Lamb PS I am so fed up i feel like running over it with the car.

Ringer is set at max but is hard to hear

If the ringout volume is very low, then try not to select a soft, silent or low ringing tone. Try to choose a ringing tone that is loud so that you can hear your phone ringout.
Hope that was helpful?

Ringer not loud enough

If she could hear the phone ring, what would she do, put in her hearing aids and answer the phone?

Walker/Clarity makes a complete set of HAC phones. From this link http://shop.clarityproducts.com/products/categories/category330.asp step to the second page and you will find Ameriphone external ringers.

Moderate to severe hearing loss means $$$ when you buy a complete phone, but there is a cordless for about $120 list that might be a better product.

How do i increase the volume ob the receiver, not the ringer volume ,voice while speaking as i cant hear the other party loud enough

When you are talking on the phone (or listening to a dial tone), the volume control works to control the volume of the receiver. When the phone is not being used, the volume control is used to control the volume of the ringer.

Volume not loud enough

When you're in a call, there are two buttons on the left side of the phone that control the volume.  Outside a call these buttons control the ringer volume.

Lowering ringer volume on handset v tech 5.8 digital phone

You didn't indicate exact model of your phone. However I have indicated the procedure used for common Vtech's 5.8Ghz phones

Ringer volume
• With the handset or base in idle (off) mode, press MENU then
press ▲ or ▼ until RINGER VOLUME is shown
• Press SEL. You will hear a sample of the ringer
• Press ▲,▼ or a digit (0 through 6) You will hear a sample of
the new ringer volume and the volume bar will be increased or
decreased each time the setting is adjusted At the lowest setting
the ringer will be turned off and the display will show:
- OR -
• With the handset or base in idle (off) mode, press or of the
volume control will directly go to ringer volume menu
• Press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the ringer volume

Good Luck
