This can be done using cisco routers with an isdn port on each. I'm a bit rusty on this, but could look up the details if you want. Don't be too afraid of the costs, as you can get the right boxes off ebay quite cheaply if you really want to do it. Maybe there's another way I don't know about..

How can I share an internet connection using a PC?

On your PC, open up Control Panel, click on Network And Internet, Click on Network and Sharing Center, then on the left side click on Change Adapter settings. On the tethered iPhone connection, right click and select Properties. On the Sharing tab, check the box to share that devices connection with other devices on the network. Click OK and close out of the open Network connections window. Connect your ethernet cable from your computer to your router's Internet/WAN port and run the router setup. If the setup does not detect the network correctly, configure it to use DHCP.

If the shared connection method doesn't work, try selecting both your LAN and iPhone connections in the Network Connections screen, right clicking, and selecting Bridge. Then proceed with instructions as written.

Networking Configuration A network architecture is a set of standards for how computers are physically connected and how signals are passed between hosts. Some typical network architectures are described in the table below.
Network Architecture Description Ethernet Ethernet is a wired networking standard and is the most common networking architecture used in LANs (both in business and home networks). Dial-up Modem Dial-up networking is a common way to connect a computer (often your home computer) to a remote network, such as the Internet or a business network. A modem on each computer uses the phone lines to send and receive data. DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) DSL is a fast-growing alternative to dial-up networking to connect to the Internet. DSL uses regular phone lines to send digital broadband signals. ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) ISDN is another alternative to traditional dial-up that can be used to connect to the Internet or to directly communicate with another computer connected to the ISDN network. ISDN is more common in Europe than in the U.S. ISDN can use regular telephone wiring, but must be connected to a special ISDN network. Wireless Wireless networking uses radio waves or infrared light (with the air as the transmission medium) to send data between hosts. Wireless networks are common in homes, businesses, airports, and hotels. Most wireless networks connect into larger wired networks (such as LANs) which are in turn connected to the Internet. Communication between hosts on a network generally takes one of three forms:
  • Simplex--one-way communication from a sender to a receiver.
  • Half-duplex--two-way communication between two hosts. Communication only travels in one direction at a time.
  • Duplex--two-way communication between hosts. Communication can travel in both directions simultaneously.

How do I setup my i-mate PDA2k wireless LAN?

The wireless LAN feature on your phone works by default. If you are in a wireless enabled environment, just go to your phone seetings and select connections, then select the wireless LAN manager which you must turn on; check the box and click o.k.The phone automatically detects all available networks in that place. You can now connect via a password or free as the case may be. This should be o.k.At the base left of the wireless LAN screen is the tools TAB click on this to show you the network card configuration menu. Here you can view all the available networks and decide on some other vsettings as you please.Remember that if your wireless internet requires a password you may not be able to browse till you enter the correct password.

Internet connection

Connect a computer to one of the lan ports 1-4.
Connect the adsl modem to "internet" or "wan" port of hub.
Open the hub's configuration page in your browser, usually this is http://192.168.1.1 Under Setup->Basic Setup, set the configuration for "Internet Connection Type " to "Automatic Configuration - DHCP". Under Network Setup, enable the hub's internal DHCP server so your lan hosts can get their ip's from the hub. Each local computer should have DHCP enabled. Your adsl modem must support DHCP for this to work, some do not. If it still doesnt work, try setting "PPPoE" instead of DHCP.
