Were can I get a driver for casio SF-5780 that will work on Windows 7 I do have the software that came with it and that worked on win 98, but I am not sure if that will work on Win 7. Thank you

Since windows 7 is fairly new a lot of drivers can't be found for windows 7 yet. and I don't think a Win 98 printer driver will be found fo 7 anytime soon.
Hope this helps.

Hi Alana,
There is in all liklihood nothing wrong with your digital voice recorder. It was never designed to work with Windows 7 (any version). Try loading the voice files onto a PC with any one of the following operating systems:
Windows VISTA; Windows XP (Professional or Home); Windows Me; Windows 2000 (Professional); Windows 98 (Second Edition). It should function quite normally and download, so that you re-use the memory on your recorder.

Yes, sorry; this is a basic model released about 8 years ago when Win 98, 95 etc was still in use.....Microsoft don't support 98,95 etc anymore...youv'e gone to the newest Win7 OS so unfortunately you will have to get a newer recorder.....in 8~10 years time you may have to do it all again....such is technology...ain't it a great world.

Have dual boot system,W98SE/XP. Resised both partitions with Easeus to make room for Windows 7 RC. XP is fine but 98 won't boot up. Black screen/white cursor top left. Use 98 a lot for my work.

Windows 7 cannot be installed on FAT 32 system, which is required by 98. Windows 7 needs NTFS which may actually cause the issue as it is not compatible with FAT32.

Are all of the O/s are in different partitions?

Shrey

Window 98 Professional does recognize Panasonic RR-US395 since it was removed from the usb port accidentally before being removed properly. I can see that the recorder is connected but can't find the files...

Windows 98 Professional?

I don't think there is such a version. It's probably either Windows 98 or Windows XP Professional.

If a reboot does not help, the simplest thing to try is to reinstall the device driver registry entries for the USB port.

Assuming you have Windows XP, right-click "My Computer" and select "Manage". Under "System Tools", select "Device Manager". If Windows is detecting problems with any of the device drivers, the Device Manager entry will be flagged with a exclamation point caution sign. Otherwise, you can try removing all of the entries under "Universal Serial Bus controllers". To remove the entry, right-click it and select "Uninstall". Remember, this only removes the entry from the registry. Unless the drivers are corrupted or missing, you will likely not need the install disk to reinstall the entry. Once you are done, reboot and Windows will detect the USB controller(s) does not have an entry and will prompt you to reinstall it. Take the option to let Windows find the drivers for you. If this procedure does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the device. If that does not work, you likely have a hardware problem - bad cable, bad connection, etc.

If you do indeed have Windows 98, it's been a while, but the above procedure should be similar.
